【摘要】： 本文運用功能主義理論中的目的論(Skopostheorie)分析了最早最完整的《聊齋》譯本之一——英國人漢學(xué)家翟理斯的Strange Stories From a Chinese Studio。目的論主張評價譯文的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)不應(yīng)局限于“等值”(equivalence)為核心的翻譯觀，而應(yīng)該衡量譯文是否對某個翻譯目的“充分”(adequacy)。本文從文化的五個子系統(tǒng)(物質(zhì)文化系統(tǒng)，社會文化系統(tǒng)，意識形態(tài)系統(tǒng)，藝術(shù)，，語言系統(tǒng))歸類分析了翟氏譯本中譯例的翻譯現(xiàn)象與翻譯效果，并與其他《聊齋》譯本作對比分析。通過對比研究作者得出結(jié)論，認為翟理斯在翻譯過程中并沒有始終如一的受自己翻譯目的的指導(dǎo)，因而翻譯策略缺乏連貫性，沒有很好的達到自己的翻譯目的。
[Abstract]:Using Skopostheoriein functionalism, this paper analyzes one of the earliest and most complete translations of Liaozhai-Strange Stories From a Chinese Studio by British Sinologist Zhai Liaozhai. Skopostheorie argues that the criteria for evaluating translations should not be limited to "equivalence". "equivalence" as the core of the concept of translation, Instead, we should measure whether the translation is "adequate" for a certain translation purpose. This paper deals with the five subsystems of culture (material cultural system, sociocultural system, ideological system, art). This paper classifies and analyzes the translation phenomena and translation effects of Zhai's translation examples, and makes a comparative analysis with other versions of Liaozhai. It is argued that Zelis is not consistently guided by his own translation purpose in the process of translation, so his translation strategy lacks coherence and does not achieve his translation purpose well.
