基于自譯者主體性的自譯文學(xué)作品中的變譯研究

【摘要】:自譯,即由作者翻譯自己的作品,是翻譯研究中比較復(fù)雜也不太受關(guān)注的的現(xiàn)象。通過查閱國內(nèi)外對自譯現(xiàn)象的研究發(fā)展情況,筆者了解到自譯研究在國外受到了較大的關(guān)注,尤其是對塞繆爾·貝克特和弗拉基米爾·納博科夫兩位作家的文學(xué)自譯作品進(jìn)行了不少的研究。國內(nèi)對于自譯的關(guān)注度不夠,基本處于邊緣地帶。但是隨著翻譯研究的不斷深入和擴(kuò)展,翻譯的各個方面都將慢慢被發(fā)掘并探討。而我國又不乏優(yōu)秀的雙語作家以及他們優(yōu)秀的自譯作品,所以這將成為翻譯領(lǐng)域一個新的而又意義深遠(yuǎn)的研究角度。另外隨著外語的掌握越來越普及,自譯將越來越普遍,因此值得進(jìn)行深入研究。 同普通譯者相比,自譯者對原文有著最為深刻透徹的了解,因而會作出最為接近的闡釋,同時因為他們的特殊地位(原作屬于他們),他們也會更大膽地“修改”原作。而這種相對原文有較大改變的譯文正是自譯者通過合適的變通手段和方法的運用,消除了潛在讀者的理解障礙,實現(xiàn)了其翻譯目的,更好地服務(wù)于目的語讀者,充分發(fā)揮了其譯者主體性。 鑒于此,變譯順理成章地進(jìn)入了我們的關(guān)注視野。長期以來,人們把“忠實”視為翻譯的唯一標(biāo)準(zhǔn),因而忽視了對變譯的研究。近幾十年來,隨著跨學(xué)科研究的發(fā)展,人們不再滿足于探討翻譯中的文字轉(zhuǎn)換,而是開始關(guān)注文字以外的動態(tài)因素,包括譯者、目的語讀者以及文化對翻譯的影響,因而變譯越來越受重視。黃忠廉教授創(chuàng)立的變譯理論獨辟蹊徑,為變譯研究提供了強(qiáng)有力的理論支持。但是,目前對變譯的研究主要集中在字詞層面,并多見于應(yīng)用翻譯領(lǐng)域,而文學(xué)翻譯中的變譯鮮有前人涉及;诖,筆者選取國內(nèi)三位主要自譯作家及其自譯文學(xué)作品為案例,從德國功能主義翻譯理論,接受美學(xué)理論以及奈達(dá)翻譯模式這三個理論依據(jù)指導(dǎo)下的自譯中的自譯者主體性角度,探討自譯文學(xué)作品中的變譯規(guī)律,分析自譯者的翻譯目的,目的語讀者的期待視野以及自譯這種特殊的翻譯模式對變譯的影響。 最后筆者嘗試總結(jié)其給翻譯帶來的啟示,一方面,認(rèn)為自譯者在自譯過程中能夠在譯者翻譯目的、讀者期待等相關(guān)因素的引領(lǐng)下充分發(fā)揮其譯者主體性,而自譯作品中大量的變譯現(xiàn)象正是自譯者充分發(fā)揮主體性并與其他翻譯主體調(diào)和的產(chǎn)物。另一方面,這些自譯作品深受讀者歡迎也證實了變譯在自譯文學(xué)作品中的成功運用,進(jìn)而豐富了變譯理論的應(yīng)用范圍,由應(yīng)用翻譯領(lǐng)域擴(kuò)展至文學(xué)翻譯領(lǐng)域,對現(xiàn)今的文學(xué)翻譯有著極佳的借鑒作用。 這是筆者基于前人研究基礎(chǔ)上的一個新的嘗試,其中必有許多不足,借此拋磚引玉,希望自譯與變譯能得到更多更深入的研究,拓寬翻譯研究的視角和范圍。
[Abstract]:Self-translation, that is, translation of one's own works by the author, is a more complicated and less concerned phenomenon in translation studies. By referring to the research and development of self-translation at home and abroad, the author understands that the study of self-translation has received considerable attention in foreign countries. In particular, a lot of research has been done on the literary self-translation works of Samuel Beckett and Vladimir Nabokov. But with the deepening and expanding of translation studies, all aspects of translation will be gradually explored and explored. However, there are many excellent bilingual writers and their excellent self-translation works in our country. Therefore, this will become a new and far-reaching research angle in the field of translation. In addition, as the mastery of a foreign language becomes more and more popular, self-translation will become more and more common, so it is worthy of further study. Compared with the ordinary translator, the self-translator has the most profound understanding of the original text and therefore makes the closest interpretation. At the same time, because of their special position (the original works belong to them), they will also be more daring to "modify" the original. It eliminates the obstacles to the understanding of the potential readers, achieves its translation purpose, serves the target language readers better, and gives full play to the translator's subjectivity. In view of this, variant translation has naturally entered our field of concern. For a long time, people have regarded "faithfulness" as the sole criterion of translation, thus neglecting the study of variable translation. In recent decades, with the development of interdisciplinary research, People are no longer satisfied with the study of text conversion in translation, but pay more attention to the dynamic factors beyond the text, including the translator, the target language reader and the influence of culture on translation. As a result, variant translation has attracted more and more attention. Professor Huang Zhonglian's theory of variable translation provides a powerful theoretical support for the study of variable translation. However, at present, the study of variable translation is mainly focused on the word level, and is often found in the field of applied translation. Based on this, the author chooses three main domestic self-translation writers and their self-translated literary works as examples, based on the German functionalist translation theory. Under the guidance of reception aesthetics and Nida's translation model, the author explores the law of self-translation in self-translation literary works and analyzes the translation purposes of self-translators. The target readers' horizon of expectation and the influence of self-translation on variable translation. Finally, the author tries to sum up the implications for translation. On the one hand, the author thinks that the self-translator can give full play to the translator's subjectivity under the guidance of the translator's translation purposes, readers' expectations and other relevant factors in the process of self-translation. On the other hand, the popularity of these self-translated works also proves the successful use of these self-translated works in self-translated literary works. It enriches the application of variable translation theory and extends from applied translation to literary translation, which can be used for reference in literary translation today. This is a new attempt on the basis of previous studies, in which there must be a lot of shortcomings, in the hope that self-translation and translation can get more and more in-depth research and broaden the perspective and scope of translation research.
