【摘要】：閔福德的翻譯整體而言極為精湛,他的英語造詣與這部世界文學(xué)的中文著作十分配稱。然而,閔福德改變了其中一些片段內(nèi)容。值得注意的是,這些片段都包含性愛內(nèi)容。原文通過弦外之音刺激解讀者性方面的聯(lián)想,但閔福德使這些場(chǎng)景描寫更為形象、更直白并對(duì)性聯(lián)想的刺激更明顯。本文將對(duì)他翻譯的后四十回采用文本細(xì)讀的方法,比較其與不同原著版本和其他翻譯版本間的區(qū)別。閔福德的翻譯偏離可以歸結(jié)為原文的問題、對(duì)原文的忽視以及對(duì)前任譯者霍克思和對(duì)存在的翻譯忠實(shí)性。而在萌生性聯(lián)想片段中出現(xiàn)的偏離可以歸為對(duì)原文的不忠實(shí)。本文將分析這一點(diǎn)對(duì)讀者的影響,也將討論閔福德在這些偏離背后可能的意圖。
[Abstract]:As a whole, Minford's translation is excellent, and his English attainments are in line with this Chinese book of world literature. However, Minford has changed some of the fragments. It is worth noting that. These clips all contain sex content. The original text stimulates the reader's association with the original words, but Minford makes these scenes more vivid. More straightforward and more obvious to the stimuli of sexual association. This paper will use the method of text reading in the second 40 chapters of his translation. Minford's translation deviation can be attributed to the problem of the original text. The neglect of the original text and the faithfulness to the former translator Hawkes and the translation of the existence. However, the deviation in the germinative associative fragment can be classified as unfaithfulness to the original text. This paper will analyze the influence of this on the readers. Minford's possible intentions behind these deviations will also be discussed.
