【摘要】:舊金山歌劇院制作首部英文版歌劇《紅樓夢(mèng)》,首次將這部小說(shuō)搬上西方歌劇舞臺(tái)。該劇在主題、結(jié)構(gòu)、情節(jié)、人物等方面進(jìn)行了諸多改編,既有令人贊嘆的靈動(dòng)之筆,也有使人遺憾的誤讀。這是中國(guó)家喻戶曉的紅樓故事在西方歌劇舞臺(tái)的首度講述,無(wú)論其亮點(diǎn)還是遺憾之處,都值得后來(lái)者認(rèn)真思考與借鑒。
[Abstract]:The San Francisco Opera House produced the first English opera, A Dream of Red Mansions, and for the first time brought this novel onto the stage of Western opera. The play has been adapted in terms of its theme, structure, plot, characters, and so on. This is the first time that the story of Honglou, a household name in China, has been told on the stage of western opera. Whether it is bright or regrettable, it is worth seriously thinking and drawing lessons from the latecomers.
