【摘要】：在2012年5月出版的最新小說《家園》中，，托尼·莫里森又一次將目光聚焦到主人公的身份追尋上。 此篇文章主要運(yùn)用杜波伊斯的雙重意識來探索《家園》中的身份追尋。論文分為五章：第一章簡要介紹了小說作者托尼·莫里森和《家園》；第二章呈現(xiàn)了文獻(xiàn)綜述；第三章扼要介紹了杜波伊斯并闡釋了雙重意識和自我身份理論；第四章從三個方面詳盡分析了《家園》中的身份追尋：逃離：自我身份缺失；掙扎：自我身份困境；回歸：自我身份重構(gòu)；第五章得出結(jié)論。 文章試圖探討雙重意識影響下弗蘭克、茜和莉莉的身份追尋及其不同的自我身份構(gòu)建，進(jìn)而得出結(jié)論：通過清楚地認(rèn)識和接納在雙重意識下的身份困境，弗蘭克最終找尋到了真實的自我；茜通過接受雙重意識下的身份困境并且在沒有弗蘭克幫助下的自我成長，完成了自我身份構(gòu)建；莉莉自我身份尋求之旅以失敗告終。
