　　德國的埃及學研究者楊?阿斯曼( Jan Assmann)在1997年出版的著作《文化記憶》中提出了文化記憶的概念。阿斯曼把文化記憶定義為人類記憶的外層空間,它包括兩個概念:記憶文化和指代過去。他認為,文化記憶有其穩(wěn)定性,它不會隨時間的流逝而改變。在時間層面上,它把過去的重要事件以某一形式固定和保存下來,并不斷使其重現(xiàn)以獲得現(xiàn)實的意義,這樣,它就把過去和現(xiàn)在連接在一起。它的穩(wěn)定性起源于過去發(fā)生的重要的事件,而有關這些重要事件的記憶又以文字、儀式等文化的形式得以保存下來。 對非裔美國作家托尼?莫里森來說,記憶的一條腿跨在過去,另外一條則跨在將來,黑人民族如果想往未來看,就必須先往回看。因此,文化記憶在她的小說創(chuàng)作中起著十分重要的作用。本文共分四章,詳細探討了莫里森兩部小說中的文化記憶現(xiàn)象。 第一章是論文的引言部分。該章簡單介紹了托尼·莫里森的主要作品以及其作品的研究現(xiàn)狀,提出該論文旨在從文化記憶的角度探索莫里森的創(chuàng)作思想。 第二章介紹了文化記憶的定義和作用,并介紹了美國文學中普遍存在的文化記憶現(xiàn)象。 第三章是本論文的主體部分。該章從文化記憶的缺失導致的后果、文化記憶的重現(xiàn)方式、文化記憶的內...
