19世紀(jì)—20世紀(jì)之交正值英國(guó)文學(xué)從傳統(tǒng)到革新的轉(zhuǎn)折時(shí)期。福斯特正是在此期間重要的英國(guó)小說(shuō)家。他在小說(shuō)的藝術(shù)技巧上有其獨(dú)到之處——在創(chuàng)作中他既不恪守陳舊的傳統(tǒng)手法，又不追求極端的新潮流派，而是努力發(fā)揚(yáng)現(xiàn)實(shí)主義之優(yōu)長(zhǎng)，同時(shí)吸取現(xiàn)代主義之精華，所以傳統(tǒng)和革新在他身上交替并存�！犊吹靡�(jiàn)風(fēng)景的房間》是一部頗具特色的作品，將現(xiàn)實(shí)主義與現(xiàn)代主義的有機(jī)融合。本文旨在分析該小說(shuō)在創(chuàng)作中運(yùn)用的藝術(shù)技巧：對(duì)比、象征、音樂(lè)和美術(shù)主導(dǎo)旋律、暗示、諷刺等，以及這些藝術(shù)技巧在揭示文章主題方面所發(fā)揮的積極的作用，從而使我們對(duì)小說(shuō)的主題以及福斯特的藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作技巧有更好的理解。
