分析尤金·奧尼爾的劇作《奇異的插曲》和《榆樹下的欲望》中所體現(xiàn)的莊子的“無欲”思想

我的論文題目是:分析尤金·奧尼爾的劇作《奇異的插曲》和《榆樹下的欲望》中所體現(xiàn)的莊子的“無欲”思想。撰寫本論文的目的就在于說明奧尼爾的兩部劇作《奇異的插曲》和《榆樹下的欲望》中女主人公悲劇性的命運(yùn)充分體現(xiàn)了莊子的“無欲”思想以及莊子“無欲”的思想有助于形成我們對(duì)于欲望正確的態(tài)度——“節(jié)制過度的欲望”,從而避免在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中也發(fā)生由過度的欲望而引發(fā)的悲劇。 根據(jù)我的研究,專家和學(xué)者們?cè)谘芯壳f子的道家思想對(duì)尤金·奧尼爾的影響方面已取得了豐碩的成果。對(duì)奧尼爾產(chǎn)生重要影響的道家思想有:老子的否定之否定規(guī)律,莊子的對(duì)立統(tǒng)一規(guī)律,以及老子的陰陽學(xué)說、無為理論。而本文另辟蹊徑,研究莊子的“無欲”思想對(duì)奧尼爾的影響。根據(jù)對(duì)于《奇異的插曲》和《榆樹下的欲望》兩部戲劇的分析,我們得知兩部劇中兩位女主人公的悲慘命運(yùn)歸因于她們過度的欲望。然而倘若她們能節(jié)制欲望,便可以避免不幸的命運(yùn)。這一點(diǎn)恰巧符合莊子的“無欲”思想。由此,我的研究表明:奧尼爾的兩部劇作《奇異的插曲》和《榆樹下的欲望》中女主人公悲劇性的命運(yùn)充分體現(xiàn)了莊子的“無欲”思想以及莊子“無欲”的思想有助于形成我們對(duì)于欲望正確的態(tài)度——“節(jié)制過度的欲望�!� ...
