威廉·勃特勒·葉芝是愛爾蘭最受歡迎的詩人與劇作家。他的作品在國內(nèi)外被廣泛研究。然而，從后殖民角度研究他的戲劇的學(xué)者卻很少。本文試圖從后殖民的角度研究葉芝劇本中的愛爾蘭民族文化身份的認(rèn)同，并且通過質(zhì)疑愛爾蘭性在其劇本中所表現(xiàn)的真實(shí)性，找出葉芝對愛爾蘭民族文化身份的觀點(diǎn)。 本文從當(dāng)下學(xué)術(shù)研究中最具影響力的領(lǐng)域之一的后殖民主義理論出發(fā)，分析葉芝戲劇中的愛爾蘭的民族身份認(rèn)同與文化身份認(rèn)同。作為理論本身，后殖民主義從一開始就不是贊美后殖民主義時(shí)代，而是批判后殖民主義時(shí)代，并且一直是用這種理論作為他們所要反對西方霸權(quán)主義所規(guī)定的后殖民主義的武器。本文結(jié)合德勒茲、葛塔瑞的“地域化”、“非地域化”與“再地域化”的理論分析葉芝對重構(gòu)愛爾蘭性所做過的努力。殖民者從領(lǐng)土上與文化上對愛爾蘭進(jìn)行了征服。在宗主國的文化強(qiáng)勢下，愛爾蘭人的形象往往被歪曲，愛爾蘭被他者化。在葉芝看來，整個(gè)民族好像失語了，也失去了信念、思想以及喪失了愛爾蘭性。因此愛爾蘭的民族與文化身份認(rèn)同的重建迫在眉睫。在對劇本的人物進(jìn)行分析的過程中，作者認(rèn)為葉芝在重構(gòu)愛爾蘭人民形象以及愛爾蘭民族文化身份的同時(shí)也在不自覺的進(jìn)行理想化。本文選用的是葉芝早...
