從象征主義角度解讀《紫顏色》中艾伯特的心路歷程

【摘要】：由于二十世紀(jì)五、六十年代女權(quán)運動的興起,《紫顏色》一上市就受到關(guān)注,榮獲了代表美國文學(xué)最高榮譽(yù)的普利策獎和美國國家圖書獎,成為美國文學(xué)中的經(jīng)典,而且被視為美國女權(quán)主義文學(xué)的必讀之作。作品生動地描述了黑人女性深受種族和性別雙重壓迫的悲慘境遇,作者成功地講述了女主角西麗的成長歷程—從麻木到覺醒,從沉默到反抗,從被壓迫到積極爭取并最終自我覺醒,自我重建。 然而,這部作品給她帶來巨大成功的同時,也招來了巨大的非難與指責(zé)。有些評論家指責(zé)沃克丑化了黑人男性,瓦解了黑人內(nèi)部的團(tuán)結(jié)。而實際上,沃克并沒有排斥和丑化黑人男性。相反,作者在描寫黑人女性成長歷程的同時,也強(qiáng)調(diào)了黑人男性共同成長、轉(zhuǎn)變的可能性和重要性。這恰好體現(xiàn)了作者的女權(quán)主義思想：致力于所有人即男人和女人的生存與完整。 結(jié)合當(dāng)時的歷史背景和社會、文化背景,本文試圖從文中某些象征手法的運用的角度,深入系統(tǒng)地探討男主角艾伯特的性格轉(zhuǎn)變。通過探討其中某些事物或現(xiàn)象的表現(xiàn)手法和現(xiàn)實意義,揭示這部作品中的象征主義傾向以及其對艾伯特性格形成的影響。
[Abstract]:Due to the rise of the feminist movement in the 1950s and 1960s, "Purple Color" received attention as soon as it went on the market. It won the Pulitzer Prize, which represents the highest honor in American literature, and the National Book Award, and became a classic in American literature. It is also regarded as a must-read work in American feminist literature. The work vividly describes the tragic situation of black women under the dual oppression of race and gender. The author successfully describes the growing process of the heroine Xili, from numbness to awakening, from silence to resistance. From being oppressed to actively striving for and eventually self-awakening, self-reconstruction. However, the work brought her great success, but also attracted great criticism and criticism. Some critics accused Walker of stigmatizing black men and unraveling black unity. In fact, Walker did not reject and demonize black men. On the contrary, the author describes the growth process of black women and emphasizes the possibility and importance of black men's co-growth and transformation. This is precisely the author's feminist thinking: committed to the survival and integrity of all men and women. Based on the historical background, social and cultural background of that time, this paper attempts to probe into the character change of Albert in depth and systematically from the perspective of the use of some symbolic techniques in the text. By discussing the expressive techniques and practical significance of some of these things and phenomena, this paper reveals the symbolism tendency in this work and its influence on the formation of Albert's character.
