【摘要】：莫馬戴是著名的美國(guó)印第安作家,自從他的小說(shuō)《黎明小屋》獲得普利策獎(jiǎng)后,他的作品受到越來(lái)越多的人關(guān)注。目前為止,對(duì)這部小說(shuō)的研究主要集中在身份追尋、美國(guó)白人與美國(guó)印第安人文化沖突等方面。當(dāng)然,也曾有學(xué)者從敘事角度、人物形象、后殖民主義研究這部作品。然而,這本小說(shuō)中其實(shí)蘊(yùn)含著豐富的生態(tài)主義思想,值得讀者細(xì)細(xì)品味。 隨著環(huán)境的惡化,人們開(kāi)始認(rèn)識(shí)到環(huán)境保護(hù)的重要性,生態(tài)批評(píng)也由此應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。生態(tài)批評(píng)主要研究的是人,自然和精神的關(guān)系。通過(guò)闡述人類(lèi)破壞環(huán)境的行為給自然和人類(lèi)本身帶來(lái)的惡果,喚醒人們的生態(tài)意識(shí),意識(shí)到人與自然密不可分的相互依存關(guān)系,從而反思人類(lèi)對(duì)自然的態(tài)度。從生態(tài)批評(píng)角度解讀莫馬戴的《黎明小屋》不僅有助于幫助人們建立對(duì)自然的正確觀念,同時(shí)也有助于幫助人們從自然中獲得心靈的平靜。 本論文由五個(gè)章節(jié)組成。第一章介紹了作家莫馬戴的生平及小說(shuō)《黎明小屋》的故事內(nèi)容,敘述了國(guó)內(nèi)外對(duì)作家莫馬戴和他的作品《黎明小屋》的研究現(xiàn)狀,闡述了本論文的創(chuàng)新點(diǎn)。第二章簡(jiǎn)述了生態(tài)批評(píng)的發(fā)展史,并解釋了生態(tài)批評(píng)理論的內(nèi)容,對(duì)生態(tài)批評(píng)研究的對(duì)象及其中的觀點(diǎn)進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)敘述。第三章從自然生態(tài)角度探討人與自然的關(guān)系。把美國(guó)白人傳統(tǒng)的對(duì)待自然的觀念和美國(guó)印第安人對(duì)自然的觀念進(jìn)行對(duì)比,美國(guó)白人征服自然的思想和美國(guó)印第安人尊敬自然的思想形成了強(qiáng)烈反差,并且闡述了美國(guó)白人人類(lèi)中心主義的核心思想和美國(guó)印第安人生態(tài)整體主義的思想。第四章從精神生態(tài)角度討論了主人公艾貝爾的身份追尋之旅,從艾貝爾逃離印第安保留地到出獄后在洛杉磯與社會(huì)格格不入的悲慘生活,再到最后重回印第安保留地,尋回了自己的身份并找到了心靈的平靜。第五章總結(jié)了小說(shuō)中蘊(yùn)含的生態(tài)思想,呼吁人們重新審視人與自然的關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:Momaday is a famous American Indian writer. Since his novel Dawn House won the Pulitzer Prize, his works have attracted more and more attention. So far, the study of this novel mainly focuses on identity seeking, American white and American Indian culture conflict and so on. Of course, some scholars have studied this work from narrative point of view, character image and post-colonialism. However, this novel actually contains rich ecologism thought, is worth the reader to savor carefully. With the deterioration of the environment, people began to realize the importance of environmental protection, ecological criticism came into being. Ecological criticism mainly studies the relationship between man, nature and spirit. In this paper, the author expounds the harmful effect of human behavior of destroying the environment on nature and human itself, awakes people's ecological consciousness, and realizes the interdependent relationship between man and nature, so as to reflect on human's attitude towards nature. The interpretation of Mormalt's Dawn House from the perspective of ecological criticism not only helps people to establish a correct view of nature, but also helps people to obtain peace of mind from nature. This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces the life of the writer and the story of the novel "Dawn House", describes the domestic and foreign research on the writer and his work "the House of Dawn", and expounds the innovation of this paper. The second chapter briefly describes the history of ecological criticism, explains the content of ecological criticism theory, and gives a detailed description of the research object and viewpoints of ecological criticism. The third chapter discusses the relationship between man and nature from the angle of natural ecology. Contrasting the traditional American white concept of nature with the American Indian view of nature, the American white idea of conquering nature is in sharp contrast to the American Indian idea of respecting nature. It also expounds the core thought of American white anthropocentrism and the thought of American Indian ecological holism. The fourth chapter discusses the hero Abel's journey of seeking identity from the angle of spiritual ecology, from Abel's escape from the Indian reservation to the miserable life in Los Angeles after his release from prison, and then to return to the Indian reservation at last. Find their identity and find the peace of mind. The fifth chapter summarizes the ecological thoughts contained in the novel, and calls on people to re-examine the relationship between man and nature.
