【摘要】：本論文旨在通過對納博科夫第六部俄文小說《絕望》的深入研究,探尋《絕望》主人公赫爾曼在日常生活和文本敘述這兩個看似孤立,實則相聯(lián)的領(lǐng)域中對他人控制的形成過程和最終失敗的原因�；趯諣柭鳛闉l臨破產(chǎn)的巧克力制造商和擁有不貞妻子的丈夫這種雙重身份的闡釋,本文主張赫爾曼對他人極端甚至近乎瘋狂的控制欲望來源于他內(nèi)心同時存在的極度自戀和自我憎恨情緒,并最終導(dǎo)致了他對替身菲利克斯無情的“投射”。 納博科夫批評界普遍認(rèn)為,小說《絕望》中不夾雜任何社會信息。此觀點也將在本文中被系統(tǒng)解構(gòu)。根本上,赫爾曼是不折不扣的發(fā)達(dá)工業(yè)社會產(chǎn)物,被工具理性吞噬,喪失了自我個性和價值,集中表現(xiàn)在他以“量”取代“質(zhì)”,注重“效率”而非“努力”,通過操控他人需求達(dá)到控制他人的目的,以及他對替身菲利克斯泯滅人性的殺害。不僅如此,本論文同樣關(guān)注了菲利克斯,在喪失了經(jīng)濟、思維自由和個體獨立之后,淪為喪失特性的“單維人”的窘境。毋庸置疑,《絕望》所包含的社會信息多于任何一部納博科夫小說。 本論文總共分五章展開。第一章簡要介紹《絕望》的寫作背景、文學(xué)評論以及不同版本間的差異。第二章通過深入探索赫爾曼的內(nèi)心世界,得出其控制形成的內(nèi)因。第三章首先討論了赫爾曼和替身之間荒謬、虛假的同一性,其次揭露了赫爾曼意圖建立一個極端同一性的世界,以便更高效地控制他人的妄想。第四章展現(xiàn)了赫爾曼在尋求對他者極端控制的不歸征途中注定失敗的慘痛結(jié)局。作為小說主人公,赫爾曼極盡所能操控他人,但不料想,在控制他人的同時,他也將自己推向了失控的邊緣和個體絕望的萬劫深淵。而作為敘述者,赫爾曼的失敗更加慘痛,他為自己手稿所起的名字---絕望,充分體現(xiàn)了他失敗后的心境。
[Abstract]:The purpose of this thesis is to explore Herman's seemingly isolated daily life and text narration in Nabokov's sixth Russian novel despair. The formation process of control over others and the cause of failure in the field associated with reality. Based on the interpretation of Herman's dual identity as a bankrupt chocolate maker and husband with an unfaithful wife, This paper argues that Herman's extreme or even almost crazy desire for control of others originates from his simultaneous extreme narcissism and self-hatred, which ultimately leads to his "projection" to Felix. Nabokov's critics generally believe that there is no social information in the novel despair. This view will also be systematically deconstructed in this article. Basically, Herman was the product of a well-developed industrial society, consumed by instrumental reason, and lost his personality and value. He concentrated on replacing "quality" with "quantity" and focusing on "efficiency" rather than "effort." By manipulating the needs of others to achieve the purpose of control, and he killed the double Felix dehumanized. Not only that, this paper also pays attention to Felix, after losing the economy, freedom of thought and individual independence, it becomes the "one-dimensional" dilemma of losing identity. There is no doubt that despair contains more social information than any Nabokov novel. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the writing background, literary criticism and the differences between different versions of despair. The second chapter explores Herman's inner world and finds out the internal cause of its control. The third chapter first discusses the absurd and false identity between Herman and the double, and then reveals Herman's intention to build a world of extreme identity in order to more efficiently control the delusions of others. Chapter four shows Herman's doomed failure in his quest for extreme control of the other. As the protagonist of the novel, Herman tried his best to manipulate others, but unsurprisingly, he pushed himself to the brink of losing control and the abyss of individual despair. As narrator, Herman's failure is even more painful, his name for his manuscripts-despair, fully reflects his state of mind after his failure.
