狂歡化理論視野下《在路上》研究

【摘要】:杰克·凱魯亞克的代表作,“垮掉派的圣經(jīng)”《在路上》記錄了垮掉一代的不羈生活。他們狂歡式的生活表態(tài)下隱藏的其實(shí)是“垮掉一代”對(duì)二戰(zhàn)后壓抑的社會(huì)的反抗以及對(duì)極度精神自由的追尋。而俄羅斯批評(píng)家米哈伊爾·巴赫金通過(guò)對(duì)中世紀(jì)狂歡節(jié)的深入研究,總結(jié)出以“狂歡”為核心的理論思想,認(rèn)為狂歡體現(xiàn)的是平民的智慧,它對(duì)立于甚至顛覆一切形式的權(quán)威。本論文以巴赫金的狂歡化理論解讀凱魯亞克的代表作《在路上》,揭示蘊(yùn)涵在作品中深刻的狂歡化精神,分析該小說(shuō)如何從外在特點(diǎn)到內(nèi)在本質(zhì)方面體現(xiàn)狂歡化精神。 文章第一章討論本論文所采用的理論——巴赫金狂歡化理論,特別是與文本分析相關(guān)的概念和方法;從總體上指出垮掉一代的狂歡化精神實(shí)質(zhì)和《在路上》的狂歡化特征之間的本質(zhì)性關(guān)系。 第二章著重從狂歡人物及其行為、狂歡儀式以及狂歡化寫作風(fēng)格等方面分析該小說(shuō)的狂歡化特征?駳g人物方面主要分析《在路上》中迪安·莫里亞蒂。迪安在作品中兼具天使與魔鬼的特質(zhì),同時(shí)迪安與瑪麗盧組成一對(duì)相近相似的“成對(duì)形象”,兩人可視為一對(duì)“狂歡之王”與“狂歡之后”。狂歡儀式方面主要分析對(duì)狂歡國(guó)王迪安的加脫冕。本章最后分析《在路上》的狂歡化寫作風(fēng)格,表明其獨(dú)具特色的即興式寫作在本質(zhì)上垮掉派的狂歡精神的語(yǔ)言表達(dá)。 第三章主要分析《在路上》中充溢的狂歡化的顛覆精神!对诼飞稀访鑼懙氖且蝗函偗偘d癲的青年男女的冒險(xiǎn)經(jīng)歷。他們瘋狂地飆車、醉酒、吸毒、做愛(ài)、泡妞,企圖在浪跡天涯的瘋狂中尋找生活的意義。正是憑借瘋狂的生活方式他們實(shí)現(xiàn)了對(duì)美國(guó)傳統(tǒng)生活及其意識(shí)形態(tài)的顛覆。 基于上述研究分析,本文得出結(jié)論:《在路上》是一部狂歡化小說(shuō);“垮掉一代”的狂歡化精神表達(dá)了他們對(duì)自由的高尚追求,以及建造一個(gè)更好的世界的美好愿望。
[Abstract]:Jack Kerouac's masterpiece, the Breakdown Bible on the Road, records the unruly life of the defeated generation. Their carnival life means that the "beat generation" revolts against the post-World War II repressive society and seeks extreme spiritual freedom. Mikhail Bakhtin, a Russian critic, sums up the "carnival" as the core of the theory through the in-depth study of the medieval carnival, and thinks that the carnival embodies the wisdom of the common people, which is opposed to or even subverts all forms of authority. Based on Bakhtin's carnival theory, this thesis interprets Kerouak's masterpiece on the Road, reveals the profound carnival spirit contained in the works, and analyzes how the novel embodies the carnival spirit from the external characteristics to the intrinsic essence. The first chapter discusses the theory of Bakhtin carnival, especially the concepts and methods related to text analysis. On the whole, it points out the essential relationship between the spirit essence of carnival and the characteristic of carnival on the road. The second chapter analyzes the carnival characteristics of the novel from the carnival characters and their behavior, carnival ceremony and carnival writing style. The main analysis of carnival characters in "on the Road" Dean Moriarty. Dean has the characteristics of angel and devil in his works. Meanwhile, Dean and Marilou form a pair of similar "images". They can be regarded as "the king of carnival" and "after the carnival". The carnival ceremony mainly analyzes the coronation of Carnival King Dean. At the end of this chapter, the author analyzes the carnival writing style of "on the Road", and shows that its unique improvisational writing is essentially the language expression of the carnival spirit of the Breakdown School. Chapter three mainly analyzes the overflowing revelry subversive spirit in "on the Road", which describes the adventures of a group of crazy young men and women. They race wildly, get drunk, take drugs, have sex, pick up girls, and try to find meaning in the madness of the world. It was the crazy way of life that they subverted American traditional life and its ideology. Based on the above research and analysis, this paper concludes that "on the Road" is a carnival novel, and that the carnival spirit of "the beat Generation" expresses their noble pursuit of freedom and their good desire to build a better world.
