【摘要】：索爾·貝婁一生共經(jīng)歷了五次婚姻，接觸過(guò)許多女性，在與她們的交往過(guò)程中，他對(duì)女性及兩性關(guān)系產(chǎn)生了諸多的認(rèn)識(shí)，這在他的作品中多有體現(xiàn)。他的一些作品向讀者展示了多種失衡的兩性關(guān)系以及作品主人公對(duì)兩性關(guān)系的反思與理想化整合過(guò)程，但是最終都沒有找到一種和諧的兩性關(guān)系。本論文將從以下三個(gè)部分來(lái)探討貝婁作品中復(fù)雜的兩性關(guān)系。 第一章主要介紹了貝婁作品中的多種失衡的兩性關(guān)系。第一種失衡的兩性關(guān)系是以男權(quán)為中心的兩性關(guān)系，這在貝婁的小說(shuō)中十分常見，如《赫索格》中的赫索格與日本女友園子、《洪堡的禮物》中的洪堡與凱絲琳等；第二種是性享樂(lè)主義的兩性關(guān)系，最具代表性的就是《賽姆勒先生的行星》中的安吉拉和眾多男性之間的混亂關(guān)系；再一種就是功利主義的兩性關(guān)系，如《洪堡的禮物》中的丹妮絲和萊娜達(dá)，都是為了個(gè)人的生存利益而與西特林交往。 第二章具體分析了貝婁作品中失衡的兩性關(guān)系產(chǎn)生的深層原因。首先，男性自古以來(lái)就將女性看作欲望的客體，將其視為“第二性”，而女性也默認(rèn)了自己的這種“他者”身份，僅僅作為男性的附庸而存在，這樣便導(dǎo)致了以男權(quán)為中心的兩性關(guān)系，這主要體現(xiàn)在傳統(tǒng)的兩性之間。其次，由于人類的性本能沖動(dòng)以及錯(cuò)誤地將性自由理解為權(quán)力和自由的表現(xiàn)形式，所以才產(chǎn)生了性享樂(lè)主義的兩性關(guān)系。再者，隨著20世紀(jì)以來(lái)西方資本主義的發(fā)展，拜金主義和享樂(lè)主義在美國(guó)盛行，使得人們對(duì)個(gè)人生存利益的追求超過(guò)了對(duì)愛情和婚姻本身的追求，故而產(chǎn)生了功利主義的兩性關(guān)系。 第三章多層次地探討了貝婁作品中的人物對(duì)兩性關(guān)系的反思和理想化整合。在女性主義不斷發(fā)展的背景下，貝婁作品中的一些人物開始對(duì)兩性關(guān)系進(jìn)行自我審視與反思。一方面，女性的主體意識(shí)逐漸覺醒，，她們不再希望僅僅作為男性的附庸而存在，想要擺脫欲望客體的身份，希望獲得與男性同等的地位和權(quán)力，于是她們進(jìn)行了一系列的反抗并取得了一定的成功；另一方面，男性也在自我反思中意識(shí)到了自身對(duì)異性特質(zhì)的誤解，開始對(duì)女性及女性特質(zhì)給予理解與認(rèn)同。但是僅僅依靠?jī)尚缘淖晕曳此既匀徊荒苁箖尚躁P(guān)系達(dá)到理想化的整合，于是貝婁在晚期作品中提出了兩性之間不可或缺的愛情；雖然作品中的人物做出了極大的努力，但是事實(shí)上，女性主體意識(shí)的覺醒同她們“他者”身份的認(rèn)同之間的尷尬處境以及男性對(duì)女性既迷戀又恐懼的兩難選擇使得兩性關(guān)系難以達(dá)到理想化的狀態(tài)。
[Abstract]:Saul Bellow experienced five marriages and met many women in his life. In the process of his contact with them, he had a great deal of knowledge about women and the relationship between the sexes, which was reflected in his works. Some of his works show readers a variety of unbalanced gender relations, as well as the protagonist's reflection on gender relations and the process of idealization, but in the end, he has not found a harmonious relationship between men and women. This thesis discusses the complex gender relationship in Bellow's works in the following three parts. The first chapter mainly introduces many kinds of unbalanced gender relations in Bellow's works. The first kind of unbalanced relationship is the male-centered relationship, which is very common in Bellow's novels, such as Herzog and Japanese girlfriend Garden in Herzog, Humboldt and Kathleen in Gift of Humboldt. The second is the sexual relationship between sex hedonism, most representative of which is the chaotic relationship between Angela and many men in "Mr. Symler's Planet," and the other is the utilitarian relationship between men and women. Denise and Lena in Humboldt's Gift, for their own survival, associate with Citlin. The second chapter analyzes the deep causes of the imbalance between the two sexes in Bellow's works. First, since ancient times, men have regarded women as objects of desire and as "secondary sexuality", and women have acquiesced in their own "other" identity, which exists only as a subservient to men. This leads to a patriarchal gender relationship, which is mainly reflected in the traditional gender relationship. Secondly, the sexual hedonism comes into being because of human's sexual instinct and the mistaken understanding of sexual freedom as the expression of power and freedom. Moreover, with the development of Western capitalism since the 20th century, money worship and hedonism prevailed in the United States, making the pursuit of personal survival interests more than the pursuit of love and marriage itself. Hence the utilitarian relationship between the sexes. Chapter three discusses the reflection and idealized integration of the characters in Bellow's works. Under the background of the constant development of feminism, some characters in Bellow's works begin to examine and reflect on the relationship between men and women. On the one hand, the subjective consciousness of women gradually awakens, they no longer want to exist only as male appendages, they want to get rid of the identity of the object of desire and want to obtain the same status and power as men. So they made a series of resistance and achieved certain success; on the other hand, men also realized their misunderstanding of heterosexual traits in their self-reflection, and began to understand and identify with women and their characteristics. However, relying solely on self-reflection of the two sexes still can not achieve the ideal integration of the relationship between the two sexes, so Bellow put forward the indispensable love between the two sexes in his later works; although the characters in the works made great efforts, But in fact, the awkward situation between the awakening of women's subjective consciousness and the identity of their "other" and the dilemma of men's infatuation and fear of women make it difficult for the relationship between the two sexes to be idealized.
