【摘要】：作為19世紀(jì)美國文學(xué)界影響最大的浪漫主義小說，霍桑的代表作《紅字》已成為世界文學(xué)的經(jīng)典，具有重要的研究價值。關(guān)聯(lián)理論在語用學(xué)研究史上擁有不可替代的作用。在解讀《紅字》的過程中，關(guān)聯(lián)理論起著很重要的作用。關(guān)聯(lián)理論的使用能保證交際的成功。作為一種新型的交際模式，關(guān)聯(lián)理論把交際雙方分為迅遞者和受訊者。關(guān)聯(lián)理論的運用使抽象的語言交際具體化，使讀者更容易理解小說家試圖傳達的含義，從而透過外在的表象深入到小說的內(nèi)在結(jié)構(gòu)，獲得更深層的意義�；羯Ｔ谶@本小說中運用明示激發(fā)讀者的思考和想象。本篇論文通過分析霍桑對紅A的明示和《紅字》讀者對紅A的推理來展示紅A豐富的寓意。在本論文中紅A具有各種不同的的寓意。在同一個句子中，霍桑分別賦予紅A雙重寓意如通奸（adultery）和禁果（apple），亞瑟（Arthur）和亞當(dāng)（Adam），天使（angel）和能干（able）,友善的（amicable）和令人欽佩的（admirable）以及藝術(shù)（art）和藝術(shù)家（artist）。對于《紅字》的不同讀者，他們能獲得關(guān)于紅A的孤獨（alone），異化（alienation），痛苦（agony），折磨（anguish），慈愛（affection），，幫助（aid），女勇士（Amazon），矛盾（ambivalence）和復(fù)仇者（avenger）的寓意。在特殊的語境中，霍桑將紅A與美國（America），權(quán)威（authority），奸婦（adulteress），奸夫（adulterer）和愛情（amour）聯(lián)系在一起。通過對《紅字》的深入研究，本篇論文試圖找到一條更好地理解此小說的方法。 本文以對《紅字》的介紹開始,論述了該研究的必要性和重要性以及文章的目的及結(jié)構(gòu)的設(shè)置。隨后詳細介紹了前人對于《紅字》,閱讀及關(guān)聯(lián)理論的研究。緊接著著重介紹了作為理論框架的關(guān)聯(lián)理論,剖析了明示──推理交際模式,最佳關(guān)聯(lián)及關(guān)聯(lián)原則。在該理論的基礎(chǔ)上,筆者結(jié)合《紅字》分析了霍桑的明示,明示中的傳信和交際意圖以及影響他明示的三個要素和《紅字》讀者的推理。進而得出了結(jié)合關(guān)聯(lián)理論獲得的紅A的各種絕妙的寓意。結(jié)論部分總結(jié)了本論文的不足之處也為將來的研究提出了建議。
[Abstract]:Hawthorne's masterpiece, the Scarlet letter, has become a classic of world literature and has important research value as a romantic novel with the greatest influence in American literary circles in the 19th century.Relevance theory plays an irreplaceable role in the history of pragmatics.Relevance theory plays an important role in interpreting the Scarlet letter.The use of relevance theory can guarantee the success of communication.As a new type of communication mode, relevance theory divides the communicators into communicators and addressees.The application of relevance theory makes abstract language communication more concrete and makes it easier for readers to understand the meaning that novelists are trying to convey, so as to gain deeper meaning through the external representation into the inner structure of the novel.Hawthorne in this novel uses express to stimulate the reader's thinking and imagination.By analyzing Hawthorne's ostensibility to Red A and the readers' reasoning to Red A, this thesis demonstrates the rich moral of Red A.Red A has different meanings in this thesis.In the same sentence Hawthorne gives red A double meanings such as adulteryand the forbidden fruit apple.Arthur Arthur and Adam Adamay Angel angelo) and able to be friendly and admirable) and art artisti).For the different readers of the Scarlet letter, they get the moral of loneliness, alienation, suffering, torment of language, love, help, female warrior, ambivalence) and avenger.In a special context, Hawthorne associates Red A with American, authoritative, adulterers, adulterers and love.Through a thorough study of the Scarlet letter, this paper attempts to find a better way to understand the novel.This paper begins with the introduction of the Scarlet letter, and discusses the necessity and importance of the research, as well as the purpose and structure of the study.Then it introduces the previous researches on the Scarlet letter, Reading and relevance Theory.Then the relevance theory as the theoretical framework is introduced, and the ostensive-inferential communication model, the optimal relevance and the relevance principle are analyzed.On the basis of this theory, the author analyzes Hawthorne's ostensibility, the communicative intention and the three elements that affect his ostensibility, and the reasoning of the readers of the Scarlet letter with the help of the Scarlet letter.Furthermore, various excellent implications of red A obtained by combining relevance theory are obtained.The conclusion part summarizes the shortcomings of this paper and gives some suggestions for future research.
