【摘要】：埃倫·格拉斯哥是二十世紀初聲名顯赫的女作家之一，以其對戰(zhàn)后美國南方現(xiàn)實的深刻洞察力和表現(xiàn)力而聞名。她終身致力于復興南方文學并積極投身女性主義運動，為更多女性爭取平等和自由。她的作品多采用現(xiàn)實主義手法，旨在為讀者呈現(xiàn)真實的南方社會�！恫幻亍穭t被公認為格拉斯哥的最優(yōu)秀的作品之一。 成長小說是一種著重展現(xiàn)個人道德和心理層面成長歷程的小說類型。埃倫·格拉斯哥的著名作品《不毛之地》是一部描寫女性成長和追求自由歷程的佳作。主人公多琳達勇于沖破父權(quán)社會的束縛，追求個性獨立，并最終實現(xiàn)了由懵懂少女向成熟、獨立的新女性的轉(zhuǎn)變。本論文以女性成長小說角度為切入點，基于三個研究問題展開論文：1.女主人公在青少年時期受到了哪些方面的約束和壓抑，什么因素阻礙了她作為女性以及作為獨立的個人的發(fā)展？2.女主人公在成長的過程中經(jīng)歷了怎樣的轉(zhuǎn)變并最終如何實現(xiàn)成長的蛻變？3.在女主人公逐步走向成熟的道路上，有哪些助推力幫助主人公實現(xiàn)成長？ 本文主要包括五個部分。緒論部分著重介紹了國內(nèi)外對格拉斯哥及作品《不毛之地》的研究現(xiàn)狀，，并簡要介紹了成長小說和女性成長小說的理論發(fā)展脈絡(luò)。第一章分析了女主人公在青少年時期受到的約束和限制因素，由此體現(xiàn)女性在成長過程中面對比男性更多的制約因素。第二章細致追溯了女主人公逃離、蛻變及最終回歸和實現(xiàn)自我的成長歷程，將主人公的成長歷程梳理出清晰的脈絡(luò)。第三章闡述了在女主人公成長過程中起到推波助瀾作用的助推因素，包括成長逆境，成長引路人及浪漫情懷的幻滅。結(jié)論部分則闡述了本論文的研究目的、研究結(jié)果及研究的現(xiàn)實意義。 本論文以《不毛之地》為研究對象，對該小說反映出的女性成長足跡進行深入分析。通過對制約因素、成長軌跡、助推力量的方面的細致探析，得出《不毛之地》是一部具有典型特征的女性成長小說。通過對《不毛之地》中多琳達的成長歷程的分析，我們可以看到女性作為一個特殊群體在成長過程中所經(jīng)歷的艱難及苦痛，同時也了解到在一個女性的成長旅途中，僅僅依靠自己的力量來實現(xiàn)成長是很難的，其他助推力量亦功不可沒。同時，多琳達的成長歷程也映射了眾多美國南方甚至全世界的女性的成長歷程，對后輩或年輕一代女性也具有啟示作用。
[Abstract]:Ellen Glasgow is one of the most famous female writers in the early 20th century.She devoted her whole life to the revival of Southern literature and devoted herself to the feminist movement, striving for equality and freedom for more women.Her works are mostly realistic and aim to present a true southern society to readers. "barren Land" is recognized as one of Glasgow's best works.Growth novel is a kind of novel which emphasizes on the personal moral and psychological development.Ellen Glasgow's famous work, the barren Land, is a masterpiece about women's growth and the pursuit of freedom.Dorinda dares to break through the shackles of patriarchal society, pursue personality independence, and finally realize the transformation from ignorant girls to mature, independent new women.This thesis takes the female growth novel angle as the breakthrough point, based on three research questions to launch the thesis: 1.During her adolescence, the heroine was restrained and depressed in many ways, and what factors hindered her development as a woman and as an independent individual.How did the heroine change in the process of growing up and finally how to realize the transformation of growth?On the way of the heroine gradually moving towards maturity, what is the impetus to help the heroine achieve growth?This paper mainly includes five parts.The introduction part mainly introduces the current research situation of Glasgow and his works "barren Land" at home and abroad, and briefly introduces the theoretical development of the growth novel and the female growth novel.The first chapter analyzes the constraints and constraints faced by the heroine in her adolescence, which shows that women face more constraints than men in the process of growing up.The second chapter carefully traces the heroine's growth course of escape, transformation, final return and realization of self, and sorts out a clear thread of the protagonist's growth.In the third chapter, the author expounds the factors that help the heroine grow up, including the growth adversity, the growth guide and the disillusionment of romantic feelings.The conclusion part describes the purpose, results and practical significance of this paper.This thesis takes barren land as the research object, carries on the thorough analysis to the female growth footprint reflected in the novel.Through the careful analysis of the restrictive factors, the growth path and the push power, it is concluded that the barren land is a female growth novel with typical characteristics.Through the analysis of Delinda's growth process in "barren Land", we can see the difficulties and pains that women have experienced in the process of growing up as a special group, and we can also understand that in the process of growing up for a woman, we can also see that in the process of growing up a woman,It is difficult to grow on one's own strength alone, and so is the other boosters.At the same time, Delinda's growth process also reflects the growth process of many women in the South and even all over the world, and it also enlightens the younger generation of women.
