【摘要】：作為美國(guó)浪漫主義的先驅(qū),華盛頓·歐文把浪漫主義的思想通過浪漫主義元素融入到了他的作品中。熱愛自然,懷念往昔,強(qiáng)調(diào)想象和象征手法的使用等都是其作品中典型的浪漫主義元素。本文通過《見聞札記》中浪漫主義元素的分析,揭示了作者對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的態(tài)度和期待。 浪漫主義文學(xué)運(yùn)動(dòng)起源于十八世紀(jì)末并在十九世紀(jì)三十年代在歐洲蓬勃發(fā)展。當(dāng)時(shí)的美國(guó)作為一個(gè)剛剛誕生不久的國(guó)家,在文學(xué)領(lǐng)域受到了歐洲的影響,美國(guó)浪漫主義逐漸發(fā)展起來。華盛頓·歐文作為美國(guó)最早的浪漫主義作家之一更是長(zhǎng)期旅居歐洲,感受歐洲文化和傳統(tǒng),收集歐洲民間傳說,為以后其作品的創(chuàng)造積累了素材。《見聞札記》作為華盛頓·歐文的代表作品之一,抒發(fā)了歐文的浪漫主義情懷,反應(yīng)了他對(duì)當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)發(fā)展的態(tài)度以及對(duì)理想社會(huì)的期待。本論文共分為五章。第一章分析了什么是浪漫主義和浪漫主義元素。結(jié)合浪漫主義的起源和美國(guó)社會(huì)的發(fā)展,從整體上討論了華盛頓·歐文作品中浪漫主義元素的構(gòu)成。第二章主要討論了《見聞札記》中對(duì)于自然這一浪漫主義元素的描寫,和作家對(duì)美國(guó)的熱愛和對(duì)自然的敬畏。第三章從懷舊的角度探討了華盛頓·歐文對(duì)于歐洲傳統(tǒng)和文化的熱愛以及對(duì)過去,現(xiàn)在和未來的思考,反應(yīng)了華盛頓·歐文的浪漫主義懷舊情懷和對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的感傷。第四章通過對(duì)作品中想象和哥特式故事寫作手法的研究,反應(yīng)了《見聞札記》作為一部浪漫主義文學(xué)作品,對(duì)于想象和感受的強(qiáng)調(diào)。第五章主要討論了作品中的象征手法和浪漫主義元素在作品中的象征意義。 雖然從二十世紀(jì)六十年代后人們對(duì)華盛頓·歐文的關(guān)注并不如過去一樣熱切,但國(guó)外對(duì)他的作品已經(jīng)有了較為豐富的研究,相比之下,國(guó)內(nèi)對(duì)華盛頓·歐文的研究卻比較少而且大多只停留在對(duì)其著名短篇小說《瑞普·凡·溫克爾》和《睡谷的傳說》的研究上。本文通過對(duì)《見聞札記》中多部作品的文本細(xì)讀,從整體上分析了《見聞札記》中的浪漫主義元素。試圖揭示華盛頓·歐文以精妙的文筆并結(jié)合歐洲傳說和自己豐富的想象來反映社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的方式和意圖。以求對(duì)華盛頓·歐文以及美國(guó)浪漫主義文學(xué)的研究做一點(diǎn)有益的補(bǔ)充。
[Abstract]:As a pioneer of American romanticism, Washington Irving incorporated romantic ideas into his works through romantic elements. He loved nature and remembered the past. It is emphasized that imagination and symbolism are typical Romantic elements in his works. Through the analysis of Romantic elements in Notes on seeing and hearing, this paper reveals the author's attitude and expectation to reality. The Romantic literary movement originated in late 18th century and flourished in Europe in 1830s, when the United States, as a fledgling nation, was influenced by Europe in the literary field. As one of the earliest Romantic writers in the United States, Washington Irving lived in Europe for a long time, experienced European culture and traditions, and collected European folklore. "Notes on seeing and hearing", as one of the representative works of Washington Irving, expressed Owen's romantic feelings. This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter analyzes what is romanticism and Romanticism elements. It combines the origin of Romanticism with the development of American society. The composition of romantic elements in Washington Irving's works is discussed as a whole. The second chapter mainly discusses the description of nature as a romantic element in Notes on seeing and hearing. Chapter three explores Washington Irving's love of European tradition and culture and his thoughts on the past, present and future from a nostalgic perspective. It reflects Washington Irving's romantic nostalgia and his feelings for reality. Chapter 4th reflects Notes on seeing and hearing as a romantic literary work through the study of the imagination in the works and the writing techniques of Gothic stories. The emphasis on imagination and feeling. Chapter 5th mainly discusses the symbolism in the works and the symbolic meaning of romantic elements in the works. Although the interest in Washington Irving has not been as keen as it used to be since 1960s, there has been a wealth of research on his works abroad, by contrast, There are few studies of Washington Irving in China, and most of them only focus on his famous short stories, "Reap Van Winkle" and "the Legend of Sleeping Valley." this paper reads the texts of many of the works in Notes on seeing and hearing. This paper analyzes the Romantic elements of the Notes on seeing and hearing as a whole. It tries to reveal the way and intention of Washington Irving to reflect the social reality with exquisite writing, European legends and his own rich imagination. Washington Irving and the study of American Romantic literature do some useful supplement.
