【摘要】：尤金·奧尼爾是美國優(yōu)秀劇作家,也是普利策文學(xué)獎和諾貝爾文學(xué)獎的獲得者。在其短暫的一生中,創(chuàng)作了五十多部作品�！队軜湎碌挠肥怯冉稹W尼爾的代表作之一,在其眾多悲劇作品中占有重要的位置。在《榆樹下的欲望》中,尤金·奧尼爾塑造了三個性格鮮明的女性形象,體現(xiàn)了尤金·奧尼爾的女性主義觀。本論文用女性主義文學(xué)批評理論分析三位女性的不同遭遇,以展示女性處于他者的地位,并探討女性在男權(quán)社會里所遭受的身心兩力面的壓迫。通過對文本的分析,本文認(rèn)為《榆樹下的欲望》中的人物是壓迫與被壓迫的關(guān)系。經(jīng)濟(jì)弱勢和父權(quán)制意識形態(tài)壓迫是女性悲慘生活的根源。作為丈夫,凱伯特掌握著物質(zhì)財富,他是父權(quán)制的代表,通過父權(quán)制思想和清教徒思想壓迫著他的三任妻子。三任妻子在凱伯特的壓迫下體現(xiàn)出不同程度的女性意識。第一任妻子幾乎沒有女性意識,第二任妻子具有一定的女性意識,有了一定程度的反叛。而第三任妻子愛碧,可以說是與當(dāng)時女性理想形象背道而馳的,顯示出強(qiáng)烈的女性意識。她敢于向男權(quán)社會反叛,敢于爭取自己的話語權(quán),用實際行動去證明自己的愛情,為了愛情放棄了對物質(zhì)的欲望�？梢哉f愛碧是個具有自我意識的,一位不向父權(quán)制妥協(xié)的女性。 本文通過女性為了擺脫自身的他者地位而做出的不懈努力,表達(dá)了尤金·奧尼爾的女性主義理想。女性在父權(quán)制社會里是被壓迫的,她們不懈地追求解放,有的成功了,但是有的失敗了。本文不只是評論女主人公的精神,更重要的是從女性主義視角理解作品中婦女解放的呼聲,希望能給予當(dāng)代人們以啟示。
[Abstract]:Eugene O'Neill is an excellent playwright in the United States and a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and the Nobel Prize for Literature. In his short life, he wrote more than 50 works. Desire under the Elm is one of Eugene O'Neill 's masterpieces. In his many tragic works, Eugene O'Neill portrays three distinct female characters in desire under the Elm. It reflects Eugene O'Neill 's feminist view. This paper uses feminist literary criticism theory to analyze the different experiences of the three women in order to show that women are in the other's position. And discusses the oppression of women in the patriarchal society. Through the analysis of the text, This paper holds that the characters in desire under the Elm are the relationship between oppression and oppression. Economic weakness and patriarchal ideological oppression are the root of a woman's miserable life. As husband, Keibert holds material wealth, and he is the representative of patriarchy. Through patriarchy and Puritanism, he oppressed his three wives. The three wives showed different degrees of female consciousness under the oppression of Keibert. The first wife had almost no female consciousness, and the second wife had a certain female consciousness. There was a certain degree of rebellion. And the third wife, Ai Bi, could be said to run counter to the ideal image of women at that time and show a strong female consciousness. She dared to rebel against the patriarchal society and dare to fight for her own voice. To prove his love with practical actions, to give up the material desire for love. It can be said that Abby is a self-conscious, not to compromise the patriarchal system of women. This paper expresses Eugene O'Neill 's feminist ideals through the unremitting efforts made by women to get rid of their other status. Women are oppressed in patriarchal society, and they unremitting in their pursuit of liberation, and some of them succeed. But some fail. This paper not only comments on the spirit of heroine, but also understands the cry of women's liberation from the perspective of feminism, hoping to enlighten the contemporary people.
