【摘要】：長期以來,翻譯研究一直是在更多地關(guān)注語言層面,語言分析和文本對比被看作翻譯研究的主要任務。隨著國際交流的日益頻繁,人們意識到僅從語言對比的層面進行文學翻譯研究,只會陷入語言形式主義的泥沼,翻譯研究更應重視翻譯活動背后的社會、文化、政治、經(jīng)濟等多種因素。在此基礎(chǔ)上,二十世紀九十年代,美國翻譯文化學派的主要代表人物之一安德烈·勒菲弗爾和英國著名學者巴斯奈特共同倡導了翻譯研究中的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”,突破了只注重語言層面的傳統(tǒng)翻譯對比研究,認為譯者在翻譯過程中受到所處時代的社會、文化和政治的種種制約,翻譯研究實際上是文化互動的研究。其中,勒菲弗爾提出的改寫理論革新了傳統(tǒng)翻譯研究模式,將翻譯視為對原語文本的改寫,是在意識形態(tài)、詩學、以及贊助人因素影響下對原語文本的操縱,并且強調(diào)了翻譯中譯者的主體性。隨著文化學派的影響不斷擴大,其理論也引起了中國翻譯界的興趣和重視。 本研究在翻譯研究領(lǐng)域“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”的大背景下,以勒菲弗爾的改寫理論為框架,對美國著名華裔女作家譚恩美的成名作《喜福會》的四個中譯本——它們分別為大陸譯者程乃珊1999年和2006年的兩個譯本,及臺灣譯者于人瑞1990年和2008年的兩個譯本——進行共時和歷時研究,試圖回答如下問題：從橫向?qū)Ρ瓤创箨懞团_灣的譯本和從縱向?qū)Ρ瓤闯棠松汉陀谌巳饍扇烁髯缘膬蓚�譯本,為何四個譯本的特色如此不同?影響譯本不同的主要因素是什么?這些因素又是如何影響這些譯本的? 研究發(fā)現(xiàn)：這四個譯本都是在特定的歷史文化環(huán)境中進行的,是受特定的意識形態(tài)、詩學和贊助者共同作用的產(chǎn)物,而且這些社會文化因素在對語言的不同層面上所表現(xiàn)出來的影響力又是并不完全一致的,總體看來,它們在對詞法層面上的操控要大于句法和語篇層面。但同時我們從研究中也能夠發(fā)現(xiàn)無論從橫向還是縱向比較分析文本,譯本之間在一些語言層面上也有很大的相似性,這也充分體現(xiàn)了臺灣和大陸同根同源同文化的歷史背景,反映出隨著中國文化影響力的提升,華人譯者對譯本有意無意的操控日趨明顯。
