【摘要】：《酒國》是莫言的長篇諷刺小說，完成于上世紀90年代。不同于莫言的其他作品，這部揭露官場腐敗、抨擊政治體制弊端的小說在出版之后的相當長一段時間內(nèi)并沒有引起強烈的反響，被稱為是“一部無法評論的作品”。但是莫言本人卻認為這部小說是他“迄今為止最完美的長篇”，并把它比作是他“美麗刁蠻的情人”。這部小說創(chuàng)作手法奇特，情節(jié)詭異曲折，內(nèi)容復雜多樣，在國內(nèi)也是極少見的。小說中有大量的奇幻描寫、具有方言特色的人物對話以及中國元素的表達，因此其翻譯作品也頗具研究價值。 本文研究的是美國著名漢學家葛浩文于2000年完成的《酒國》英譯本。 本文文本分析的指導理論是功能派翻譯的核心理論——目的論。目的論認為，譯者需要根據(jù)其翻譯所側重的目的，，選擇適當?shù)姆g方法和策略，從而來實現(xiàn)譯者想要突出的功能。目的法則是所有翻譯要遵循的首要法則，連貫原則和忠實原則都從屬于目的法則。同時，目的論認為評判翻譯優(yōu)劣的標準是譯文是否充分地實現(xiàn)了譯者的翻譯目的。 本文以目的論為理論基礎，運用其目的原則、連貫原則和忠實原則對該譯本進行了大量的分析。論文共分為六個部分： 引言部分簡要介紹了論文的研究背景、研究問題以及研究意義。 第一章為文獻綜述，介紹了《酒國》中英文不同版本目前的研究現(xiàn)狀、葛浩文翻譯作品的研究現(xiàn)狀以及目的論指導下翻譯作品的研究現(xiàn)狀。從而得知目的論指導下《酒國》英譯本的研究甚少，因此具有研究價值。 第二章為理論框架。簡要介紹了目的論的歷史背景和發(fā)展過程，以及目的論的三大原則及其關系，最后介紹了翻譯的充分性。 第三章為文本分析。結合目的論的翻譯要求，從目的原則、連貫原則和忠實原則三方面對譯本進行分析。 第四章介紹了譯者所采用的翻譯方法，包括直譯、意譯、增加、修改、省略，并針對譯本做出分析。 最后一部分為結論，總結出本論文的主要研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，并指出了研究的不足之處，對以后進一步的研究也有一定的啟示意義。
