【摘要】：本文從視覺語法角度出發(fā),對2010年度普利策獲獎?wù)掌禝an Fisher的軍旅生活》中身份的視覺建構(gòu)進行了研究。文章試圖揭示圖像中的身份是如何被建構(gòu)起來的,并探討隱藏在其背后的意義。 在當(dāng)今社會,隨著交流方式逐漸由語言向圖像轉(zhuǎn)化,話語分析的范圍也從語言擴展至社會符號,如照片、視頻、漫畫等。從符號學(xué)角度來看,圖像如同其它符號資源,在意義構(gòu)建與再現(xiàn)上也具有十分重要的意義。根據(jù)分類與角色的概念,身份可作為一種方式,使個體自身與他人認(rèn)識到他們是什么人,以及個體與他人、社會間是什么關(guān)系。同時,身份也是一個動態(tài)的概念,是在某些特定社會文化背景下,通過人們正在進行的相互交流的作用而逐步形成的。這一過程同樣可以由圖像來建構(gòu)并展現(xiàn)出來。 作為美國新聞界的最高獎項,普利策獎?wù)故玖嗣绹鐣?以及美國民眾觀念轉(zhuǎn)變的最新趨勢。本文以Kress和van Leeuwen (1996)的視覺語法理論為分析框架,探討了2010年度普利策獲獎?wù)掌禝an Fisher的軍旅生活》中圖像的再現(xiàn)意義、互動意義和構(gòu)圖意義,以揭示出主人公Ian Fisher是如何一步一步地由一個男孩兒成長為一個男人的,也揭示出一個嶄新的美國士兵的良好形象是如何形成的。此外,本文還探討了身份建構(gòu)所具有的社會功能。希望本文能夠幫助讀者更好地解讀生活當(dāng)中的圖像信息。
