基于語境理論的大學英語閱讀教學有效性實證研究

【摘要】:由于閱讀技能在英語語言學習和教學中起著非常重要的作用,本課題研究的目的是從語言學角度有效地運用語境理論來探索新的英語閱讀教學方法,從而高效地提高大學生英語閱讀能力。語境是語用學研究中的重要概念,它最早是由英國的人類學家馬林諾夫斯基在1923年提出來的。他提出語言形式和環(huán)境是不可分割的,語言環(huán)境對理解說話者或是文章的意思有重要的影響。隨著語言學的發(fā)展,很多專家學者把語境應用到教學實踐中,并取得了一定的成效。在眾多專家的研究基礎(chǔ)上,本文將語境理論應用到大學英語閱讀教學之中。這種方法的有效性已經(jīng)從下面的教學實驗中得到驗證。本項實驗研究是從2014年三月至六月在中國遼寧省錦州市遼寧理工學院進行的。本實驗選取藝術(shù)系大二兩個班的90名學生作為研究對象,兩個班級分別視為實驗班和控制班。其中實驗班46名學生采用語境理論指導下的閱讀教學方法,控制班44名學生則繼續(xù)應用傳統(tǒng)的教學方法。研究工具包括調(diào)查問卷,測試,訪談等。所有數(shù)據(jù)的結(jié)果采用定性與定量分析相結(jié)合,再加上運用SPSS軟件進行了統(tǒng)計分析。實驗表明,語境理論指導下的英語閱讀教學能夠提高學生的閱讀策略和閱讀成績,并且能夠改變學生對閱讀的態(tài)度。因此,把語境理論應用于大學英語閱讀教學中的教學方式是可行的,并期望本研究結(jié)果能夠為大學英語教師在英語閱讀教學方面提供一些可借鑒的方法,從而有效地提高學生的閱讀水平。本研究在啟發(fā)英語語言學習和教學的進一步研究中有重要意義,尤其是在中國目前的教學背景中。本文的最后,討論了教育意涵,并且對進一步研究提出了一些建議。
[Abstract]:As reading skills play a very important role in English language learning and teaching, the purpose of this study is to effectively apply context theory to explore new teaching methods of English reading from the perspective of linguistics. So as to improve college students' English reading ability. Context is an important concept in pragmatics. It was first put forward by English anthropologist Ma Lin Novsky in 1923. He argues that language form and context are inseparable and that language context has an important impact on understanding the meaning of the speaker or the text. With the development of linguistics, many experts and scholars have applied context to teaching practice and achieved certain results. On the basis of many experts' research, this paper applies context theory to college English reading teaching. The effectiveness of this method has been verified in the following teaching experiments. The experiment was conducted from March to June 2014 at Liaoning Institute of Technology, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, China. In this study, 90 students from two sophomore classes of art department were selected as experimental class and control class. Among them, 46 students in the experimental class adopted the reading teaching method under the guidance of context theory, while 44 students in the control class continued to apply the traditional teaching method. Research tools include questionnaires, tests, interviews and so on. The results of all the data were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis and SPSS software. The experiment shows that the teaching of English reading under the guidance of context theory can improve the students' reading strategies and reading scores, and can change the students' attitude towards reading. Therefore, it is feasible to apply context theory to the teaching of college English reading, and it is hoped that the present study can provide some useful methods for college English teachers in the teaching of English reading. In order to effectively improve the reading level of students. This study is of great significance in enlightening the further study of English language learning and teaching, especially in the current teaching background in China. At the end of this paper, the implications of education are discussed, and some suggestions for further study are put forward.
