【摘要】：近年來,旅游業(yè)在全世界蓬勃發(fā)展,旅游也成為人們開拓眼界,放松身心的主要方式。筆者這次的翻譯材料選自于美國著名旅游記者格倫·梅納德所寫的游記《美國尋夢之旅》,屬于旅游文本翻譯。該書的作者以自己的親身經歷詳細介紹了美國各個州獨特的自然風光和人文景觀,將此書譯為中文,有利于人們從生態(tài)、文化、歷史、景觀等各個方面了解美國。它是一種跨語言、跨社會、跨文化、跨心理的交際活動,具有其特殊性,再加上英漢語言之間的差異,這無疑為譯者增加了難度。本翻譯實踐選取了《美國尋夢之旅》前五章和1992年5月的旅游見聞作為翻譯項目。前五章是作者在出發(fā)前的一個簡短介紹,描述了作者對追求夢想和放棄現實生活中的工作做出選擇時的內心活動,以及一些必要的準備。表達出了作者敢于去追求夢想的決心,同時,為想去追求夢想卻最終沒能邁出腳步的人以啟示:活在當下,做自己想做的事。第二部分是作者旅游第一個月的日記,作者的首個目的地是羅德島州和西弗吉尼亞州,之后游覽了馬薩諸塞州、新罕布什爾州以及加拿大魁北克等地。作者除了描述旅途的風景外,還介紹了當地的風土人情,以及人們的生活方式,為讀者了解美國的社會生活提供了真實詳細的信息。本報告是基于《美國尋夢之旅》的翻譯實踐。作者首先對翻譯任務的背景、目標、意義及翻譯過程進行介紹。其次,總結翻譯過程中遇到的重難點。之后,筆者通過舉例分析概括翻譯中所遇到的一些典型案例,結合翻譯過程中遇到的困難,主要從語言風格、句式調整、增譯和省譯三個方面探討了旅游翻譯中的方法和技巧。報告的最后,筆者對此次翻譯實踐中的發(fā)現與啟示,局限與不足進行總結,希望為日后進行此類翻譯的譯者提供借鑒。
[Abstract]:In recent years, tourism has flourished all over the world, and tourism has become the main way for people to broaden their horizons and relax their bodies and minds. The author's translation material is a tourist text translation from the famous travel reporter Glenn Maynard's Journey to America in search of Dreams. The author of this book introduces in detail the unique natural scenery and human landscape of every American state with his own personal experience. The translation of this book into Chinese is helpful for people to understand the United States from the aspects of ecology, culture, history, landscape and so on. It is a kind of cross-language, cross-social, cross-cultural, cross-psychological communicative activity with its particularity, coupled with the differences between English and Chinese, which undoubtedly adds difficulty to the translator. In this translation practice, the first five chapters of American Dream seeking and the experience of Tourism in May 1992 are selected as translation projects. The first five chapters are a brief introduction to the author before his departure, describing the inner activities of the author when he chooses to pursue his dream and give up the work in real life, as well as some necessary preparations. It expresses the author's determination to pursue his dream, and at the same time, enlightens those who want to pursue their dreams but fail to take their steps: live in the present, do what they want to do. The second part is the author's first month of travel, the author's first destinations are Rhode Island and West Virginia, and then visited Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Quebec, Canada. In addition to describing the scenery of the journey, the author also introduces the local customs and the way of life of the people, providing readers with real and detailed information about the social life of the United States. This report is based on the translation practice of the American Dream-seeking Journey. The author first introduces the background, goal, meaning and translation process of the translation task. Secondly, it summarizes the important difficulties encountered in the process of translation. Then, by analyzing some typical cases in translation, the author discusses the methods and techniques of tourism translation from three aspects: language style, sentence style adjustment, translation enhancement and translation saving. At the end of the report, the author summarizes the findings, limitations and shortcomings of the translation practice, hoping to provide a reference for the translators in the future.
