   置于室內(nèi)以障風(fēng)蔽物、分隔室內(nèi)空間并起裝飾作用的家具。中國周代已有屏風(fēng)。東晉以后，許多書畫家借屏風(fēng)以書寫和繪畫，因此屏風(fēng)不僅只作屏障之用，而且還是一種具有裝飾作用的工藝品。屏風(fēng)的形式始見之為獨扇固定式。唐代出現(xiàn)了多扇折疊式屏風(fēng)。屏風(fēng)按結(jié)構(gòu)可分為座屏風(fēng)和圍屏。①座屏風(fēng)。由插屏和底座兩部分組成，插屏可裝可卸，用硬木作邊框，中間加屏芯。屏芯多用漆雕、鑲嵌、絨繡、繪畫、刺繡、玻璃飾花等作表面裝飾。底座起穩(wěn)定作用，其立柱限緊插屏，站牙穩(wěn)定立柱，橫座檔承受插屏。按插屏數(shù)分為獨扇（插屏式）、三扇（山字型）和五扇等。還有一種放在桌、案上作陳設(shè)品的小屏風(fēng)，又稱為硯屏、臺屏。②圍屏。由偶數(shù)屏扇組成，可折疊。為站立穩(wěn)定，屏扇多以鋸齒形放置在地面。圍屏由屏框和屏芯組成，也有采用無屏框的板狀圍屏，兩扇之間用屏風(fēng)鉸鏈連接。屏框除了用傳統(tǒng)的木、竹材料制作外，現(xiàn)代還采用金屬作骨架。屏芯多用彩綢、尼龍、塑料、皮革等材料制作，具有清新簡潔的特點。有些小尺寸的圍屏，，可設(shè)于炕上作裝飾，稱為炕屏。
