One possible version:

Dear Peter,

I’m very glad that you told me about your dream in your letter. Now, I’d like to share mine with you. Ever since I was very young, I have been dreaming of becoming an inventor.

As we all know, important inventions, such as the telephone, the car and the computer, have greatly changed our life. And the development of human society depends on even more and newer inventions. I’m good at science and I am interested in inventing some entirely new things for people.

So I will study hard and never give up achieving my dream, no matter what difficulties I may meet. I believe my dream will come true one day as long as I hold on to it.

Let’s spare no effort to realize our dreams.
