Although, the human talent than an organization could be portrayed in the financial statements of a business enterprise, the fact is that the human resources possessed by a business organization could be termed as the most vital asset of the organization that helps an organization to realize its long-term goals and objectives (Peter & Waterman, 1982). Organizations are distinguishing themselves on the basis of human resources that it possessed and taking the resource based view of business organization, one may argue that it’s the human resources possessed by business organization that enable a business concern to enjoy competitive advantages (Wright, et al., 2001). However, in order to accomplish the competitive advantage because of the HR possessed by the business firm, the HR manager within a business organization must adopt strategies and policies that are in line with the goals of the human talent. This will enable the HR manager within a business firm not only in retaining its existing human resources and could result in the attraction of qualified and talented individuals from the job market (Boselie & Paauwe, 2004). Realizing the significance of human resources within an organization, efforts will be made in this paper to investigate critically that how a happy workforce lead towards better realization of organization's long-term goals and objectives.
