【摘要】：正一直以來,圖書館作為終身學(xué)習(xí)的一個(gè)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施服務(wù)于社會(huì)。但是,隨著圖書館的轉(zhuǎn)型,對(duì)具有多元背景的新一代圖書館員的需求更加迫切。美國圖書館協(xié)會(huì)(ALA)于近日宣布ProQuest將擴(kuò)大對(duì)圖書館界Spectrum獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金計(jì)劃的資助范圍。為了支持Spectrum計(jì)劃,為圖書館行業(yè)的學(xué)生提供更多的學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì),ProQuest于2014年開始至2016年,每年捐贈(zèng)52 000美元。這一捐款共分成24份獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。ProQuest將為Spectrum獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者提供繼續(xù)教育的機(jī)會(huì)。Spectrum校友也將參加ALA年會(huì)以及ProQuest公司主辦的相關(guān)活動(dòng),并擔(dān)當(dāng)ProQuest獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者的顧問。
