【摘要】：標題位于論文之首,是讀者對于文章質(zhì)量的第一印象。因此,標題是否恰當決定了讀者會不會繼續(xù)閱讀文章的內(nèi)容。所以,應該高度重視標題的編寫。雖然科技英語論文的標題和其他類型文章的標題有許多相似之處,它們在詞匯以及短語序列方面仍然有一些獨特之處。 本文的研究基于東華大學紡織英語學術(shù)論文語料庫的子庫紡織英語學術(shù)論文標題語料庫。借助于WordSmith4.0的幫助,本文主要研究語料庫中三詞到五詞的高頻短語序列,探究了其中的詞匯和搭配特點以及功能上的特征。本文是定量研究與定性研究的結(jié)合。 本文分別研究了由冒號和破折號連接的兩類復合標題。在標題語料庫中,兩類短語占據(jù)了重要地位。一類是名詞短語,例如a study of,另一類是介詞短語,例如as a function of。根據(jù)研究結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn),在名詞短語和介詞短語中存在大量相互交疊的現(xiàn)象。因此,語料庫中的標題是不同的名詞短語和介詞短語排列組合的結(jié)果。標題中短語的主要作用就是用來表明文章研究的重點。通過標題中不同短語類型的組合,讀者就能夠?qū)W術(shù)論文研究的各個方面以及它們之間的相互關系。
