Analysis of non-tarrif barriers measures in the United States and their impacts on China Abstract: Non-tariff barriers rise with the globalization of international trade and the capitalist economic crisis in the 70s of the 20th century. They are new types of trade protection measures. They gradually become one of the most effective tools as national implementation of trade strategy. As the world's superpower, the United States have numerous trade protection measures, especially anti-dumping and technical barriers which change with the time. In recent years, the United States becomes China's main destination of exports, which results in the rapid growth of the U.S. trade deficit between two countries. According to the data of U.S. Department of Commerce, China has emerged as the largest trade deficit country of the U.S. . The U.S. non-tariff barriers measures have made China as the number one victim for the purpose of preventing more Chinese products come into the U.S. market,. In this paper, we will analysis the main U.S. trade policy measures , their economic impacts and the response measures China takes.
