信息通信技術(shù)(ICT)已成為高度發(fā)達的信息社會收集、處理、存儲、檢索和傳播信息的常用工具。這一發(fā)展使得許多新聞媒體中心和圖書館在提供信息資源方面發(fā)生了明顯的變化。信息通信技術(shù)的應(yīng)用在很大程度上取決于計算機設(shè)施的可用性、設(shè)備狀態(tài)和技術(shù)運用的充分性。信息通信技術(shù)的應(yīng)用帶來了信息環(huán)境的巨大變化。圖書館通過教學(xué)支持、學(xué)習(xí)支持、研究支持和為社區(qū)提供其他服務(wù),在高校中發(fā)揮著重要作用。高校圖書館向用戶提供重要信息資源支持的水平將在很大程度上決定所在高校能否實現(xiàn)其教學(xué)與科研目標(biāo)。但是應(yīng)該認識到,目前大多數(shù)高校圖書館服務(wù)效率普遍相對低下。由于手工或傳統(tǒng)方法的使用,導(dǎo)致圖書館的諸多服務(wù)操作和服務(wù)職能質(zhì)量、數(shù)量遭受了一定程度的降低。因此,本研究旨在調(diào)查江蘇大學(xué)圖書館和加納大學(xué)圖書館信息通信技術(shù)的應(yīng)用對圖書館服務(wù)提供的具體影響機理。本研究制訂了四項目標(biāo):第一個目標(biāo)是評估兩所高校的圖書館在服務(wù)過程中信息通信技術(shù)的應(yīng)用水平;第二個目標(biāo)是評估兩所高校的圖書館實際服務(wù)水平;第三個目標(biāo)是評估兩所高校圖書館在應(yīng)用信息通信技術(shù)以提供圖書館服務(wù)方面面臨的具體挑戰(zhàn);最后一個目標(biāo)是評估兩所高校圖書館應(yīng)用信息通訊技術(shù)對其服務(wù)造成的...
