【摘要】:無線通信領(lǐng)域在過去的數(shù)十年中實現(xiàn)了迅速發(fā)展,已經(jīng)成為了當(dāng)今社會中不可缺少的一部分。射頻電路集成度的不斷增加,性能的不斷增強(qiáng),功耗的不斷降低有力地推動了無線通信領(lǐng)域的發(fā)展。為了進(jìn)一步提高射頻芯片的集成度,設(shè)計一款支持多模式多標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的射頻收發(fā)機(jī)已經(jīng)成為了當(dāng)今的研究熱點。頻率綜合器作為收發(fā)機(jī)中的關(guān)鍵模塊,為收發(fā)機(jī)提供了本振信號。壓控振蕩器(Voltage-Controlled Oscillator,VCO)作為頻率綜合器中的核心模塊,決定了頻率綜合器的頻率范圍以及相位噪聲等關(guān)鍵性能。本文介紹了 VCO的理論基礎(chǔ),并采用不同模型對VCO的相位噪聲進(jìn)行了分析。在對不同的寬帶VCO實現(xiàn)方案進(jìn)行比較之后,本文基于TSMC 0.18μm CMOS工藝設(shè)計了一款應(yīng)用于多模多標(biāo)準(zhǔn)收發(fā)機(jī)頻率綜合器中的寬帶壓控振蕩器。本文使用ADS Momentum設(shè)計了由三模電感組成的六階諧振腔作為寬帶壓控振蕩器的核心單元,在此基礎(chǔ)上,完成了三模寬帶CMOS壓控振蕩器的設(shè)計。設(shè)計的三模壓控振蕩器負(fù)阻部分采用電流復(fù)用結(jié)構(gòu),降低了功耗。本次設(shè)計中使用了可變電容和5比特開關(guān)電容陣列進(jìn)一步拓展了頻率范圍。后仿真結(jié)果表明設(shè)計的寬帶壓控振蕩器頻率覆蓋1.36-5.92GHz,在1MHz頻偏處的相位噪聲小于-110.2dBc/Hz,功耗小于12mA,版圖面積為1688μm×1191μm,各項指標(biāo)均滿足設(shè)計指標(biāo)要求。
[Abstract]:The field of wireless communication has developed rapidly in the past decades and has become an indispensable part of today's society. With the increasing integration of RF circuits, the continuous enhancement of performance and the decrease of power consumption, the development of wireless communication field has been pushed forward. In order to further improve the integration of RF chips, the design of a multi-mode multi-standard RF transceiver has become a research hotspot. As a key module of transceiver, frequency synthesizer provides local oscillator signal for transceiver. As the core module of frequency synthesizer, Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) determines the frequency range and phase noise of frequency synthesizer. In this paper, the theoretical basis of VCO is introduced, and the phase noise of VCO is analyzed by using different models. After comparing different implementation schemes of broadband VCO, a wideband voltage-controlled oscillator is designed based on TSMC 0.18 渭 m CMOS process for multi-mode multi-standard transceiver frequency synthesizer. In this paper, a six-order resonator composed of a three-mode inductor is designed as the core unit of a wideband voltage-controlled oscillator using ADS Momentum. On this basis, the design of a three-mode wideband CMOS voltage-controlled oscillator is completed. The negative resistance part of the three-mode voltage controlled oscillator adopts current multiplexing structure, which reduces power consumption. In this design, variable capacitance and 5-bit switched capacitor array are used to further expand the frequency range. The simulation results show that the frequency coverage of the VCO is 1.36-5.92 GHz, the phase noise at the 1MHz frequency offset is less than -110.2dBc / Hz, the power consumption is less than 12mAand the layout area is 1688 渭 m 脳 1191 渭 m.
