【摘要】： 美國(guó)漢學(xué)是一門(mén)相對(duì)年輕的學(xué)科。本文首先對(duì)美國(guó)漢學(xué)進(jìn)行了界定,詳細(xì)分析了其發(fā)展和演變的過(guò)程,著重闡述了傳統(tǒng)漢學(xué)向現(xiàn)代漢學(xué)的轉(zhuǎn)變。本文指出,在轉(zhuǎn)變過(guò)程中的幾位奠基人(美國(guó)新教教士稗治文、第一任來(lái)華傳教士衛(wèi)三畏及美國(guó)現(xiàn)代中國(guó)學(xué)之父費(fèi)正清)均居住在中國(guó)多年,除了可以掌握第一手的漢學(xué)研究資料,還可以在中國(guó)的文化視角下進(jìn)行研究。本文繼續(xù)分析了美國(guó)漢學(xué)研究近年來(lái)的發(fā)展方向,特別是20世紀(jì)80年代以來(lái)的重大變化,包括漢學(xué)家的成分、漢學(xué)界的研究對(duì)象和目標(biāo)以及漢學(xué)課程在美國(guó)著名大學(xué)的地位等。本文提出,這些變化既標(biāo)明了一種趨勢(shì),也彰顯了一些突出特點(diǎn),包括在“不變”的基礎(chǔ)上發(fā)生了幾大“變化”,并進(jìn)行了詳盡的闡釋。在結(jié)論中,本文對(duì)美國(guó)漢學(xué)研究的演變及發(fā)展方向做了整體的梳理和歸納之后,從三個(gè)方面分析了這種巨大“變化”的原因:第一,美國(guó)漢學(xué)家獨(dú)特的文化視角和遠(yuǎn)景思維;第二,世界學(xué)術(shù)界的整體發(fā)展;第三,中美交流(尤其是兩國(guó)關(guān)系正�；蟮慕涣�)的宏觀背景,。最后,作者建議中國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)應(yīng)舉辦更多現(xiàn)代漢學(xué)研究的論壇,以在這個(gè)漢學(xué)研究飛速發(fā)展的浪潮中“順?biāo)浦邸�、為漢學(xué)家們提供更好的交流和研究平臺(tái),促進(jìn)漢學(xué)研究在美國(guó)的巨大發(fā)展并以此促進(jìn)中美兩國(guó)深層次交流。
