從“故國”到“新朝”——明清之際桐城士人的地方自覺與國家認知

【摘要】:明清易代之際,國家形象在桐城士人中經(jīng)歷了裂變與重建。明末桐城社會戰(zhàn)事頻仍,桐城士庶在時局動蕩中,結(jié)成了"地方共同體",表現(xiàn)出了強烈的地方保護意識。而國家在維護地方社會秩序的過程中,由于權力的腐敗,未能起到保護地方社會的作用,反而在戰(zhàn)略戰(zhàn)術、軍餉等問題上,與地方社會產(chǎn)生了利益糾葛,從而更強化了桐城士人的內(nèi)聚力,最終使有明一代的國家形象不斷在士人中被弱化、瓦解。當明清易代完成后,清廷并沒有強制消弭士人的這種地方自覺,而是通過制度性的建構(gòu)使之逐漸植入了"新朝"的權威,"新朝"的國家形象也在這一過程中得以重建。桐城士人在從"故國"到"新朝"的歷史進程中,折射了古代地方士人與中央王朝變革互動的一個思想史面相。
[Abstract]:At the time of the change of Ming and Qing dynasties, the national image experienced fission and reconstruction among the scholars in Tongcheng. In the late Ming Dynasty, Tongcheng scholars formed a "local community", showing a strong sense of local protection. In the process of maintaining local social order, the state failed to play a role in protecting the local society because of corruption of power. On the contrary, it had a conflict of interests with the local society on such issues as strategy and tactics, military pay, and so on. It strengthened the cohesion of the scholars in Tongcheng and finally weakened the national image of the Ming Dynasty. After the change of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Qing government did not force to eliminate the local consciousness of the scholars, but gradually implanted the authority of the "new dynasty" through the institutional construction, and the national image of the "new dynasty" was rebuilt in this process. In the historical process from "the old country" to "the new dynasty", the scholars in Tongcheng reflected an ideological history of the interaction between the ancient local scholars and the central dynasty.
