【摘要】： 賭博，作為一種社會現象，隨著歷史的延續(xù)，存在了幾千年，并且流傳至今。當今社會，提到賭博，更是婦孺皆知。賭博的猖獗，帶來了巨大的危害。賭博的危害也為歷代人士所認識，有賭博，就有禁賭，并且隨著賭博現象的嚴重，禁賭的言論也愈益尖銳、激烈，禁賭律令也越來越嚴厲，然而，帶來的結果多半是禁者自禁，賭者自賭。究竟為何產生賭博，，賭博為什么禁而不絕，成都20—40年代的賭博情形又是怎樣……這些都是筆者論文研究的范疇。 本文在寫作上充分利用了搜集的第一手資料，輔以前人研究成果。第一章對成都20—40年代的賭博情況以及時人對成都賭博泛濫的態(tài)度等情況進行一個初步的探討；第二章在總結前人研究的基礎上，對賭博的危害進行一個簡要的分析；第三章對中央及地方政府為禁賭采取的措施做一個簡略的回顧，并且對以上措施所產生的結果及原因進行反思：第四章對賭博無法根本禁絕的原因進行理論及實例上的分析。在原因分析上，將重點和落腳點落實到成都這座城市，從賭博不能禁絕的角度，與前文成都賭博泛濫的情形相互呼應，再一次突出本文的題目、宗旨，即關于成都賭博，力圖在行文上前后統一，整篇文章相互照應。最后，對全篇文章進行總結，并在此基礎上提出結論。引導人們要正確看待賭博、對待賭博，千萬要遠離賭博。
