【摘要】：晚清英語在華傳播過程中,"紅毛番話"是較早記錄英語單詞或詞組的小冊子,最晚在19世紀(jì)30年代已經(jīng)在廣東出現(xiàn),成為在民間頗為流行的教授學(xué)習(xí)廣東英語的教材或工具書,直至19世紀(jì)80年代還屢有翻印和再版。本文以新發(fā)現(xiàn)的"五桂堂本"《紅毛番話貿(mào)易須知》為切入點,通過存世的6種"紅毛番話"刻本的對比,梳理了它們的翻刻軌跡、流布年代以及讀者群等內(nèi)容,并由此透視19世紀(jì)中西文化交流的特征以及早期中國人學(xué)習(xí)英語的歷史圖景。
[Abstract]:During the late Qing Dynasty in China English communication, "Hongmaofan" is one of the earliest records of English words or phrases of the booklet, the latest in 1830s has appeared in Guangdong, as in Guangdong English textbooks or teaching and learning tool folk popular, until 1880s also frequently reprinted and republished. The newly discovered "five the Church of the" Hongmaofan < > words for trade as the breakthrough point, through the comparison of the 6 edition of the world "Hongmaofan", combing the turning moment trajectory of their age and spread, readers and other content, and the perspective of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges in nineteenth Century and early Chinese characteristics of learning English historical picture.
