【摘要】： 1856年10月,英國以“亞羅”號事件為借口再次提出廣州入城問題,遭到時任兩廣總督葉名琛的拒絕。1857年底,英法聯(lián)軍攻陷廣州城,隨后在廣州成立了以托馬斯·賀羅威上校、馬蒂內(nèi)·德·舍內(nèi)上尉和英國人巴夏禮三人為核心的“占領(lǐng)委員會”,并脅迫廣東地方官員共同管制廣州近四年時間,直到1861年10月方才撤出。這一時期英法聯(lián)軍的活動在方方面面影響著廣州,城內(nèi)官民對外國人的態(tài)度也經(jīng)歷了微妙的變化。本文首次以1857-1861年英法聯(lián)軍占領(lǐng)時期的廣州為研究對象,通過廣泛搜集、分析相關(guān)中外文獻(xiàn)檔案,系統(tǒng)論述了廣東地方官員在不同占領(lǐng)時期與英法占領(lǐng)委員會的互動、當(dāng)時社會各階層對廣州被占領(lǐng)的反應(yīng)、廣州團(tuán)練與英法聯(lián)軍的斗爭,以及這一時期廣州的經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化與社會生活等情況,并試圖探討由此產(chǎn)生的影響。
[Abstract]:On October 1856, Britain again raised the question of Guangzhou's entry into the city under the pretext of the "Arrow" incident. At the end of 1857, the British and French allied forces captured the city of Guangzhou under the refusal of the then Governor of Canton, Ye Mingchen, and subsequently set up Colonel Thomas Horoway in Guangzhou. Captain Martinay de Schehner and the British, Pachary, as the core of the "occupation committee," and coerced local officials in Guangdong to control Guangzhou for nearly four years. It wasn't until October 1861, when the activities of the Anglo-French coalition forces affected Guangzhou in every way. The attitude of city officials to foreigners has also undergone subtle changes. This paper, for the first time, takes Guangzhou, which was occupied by the British and French forces from 1857 to 1861, as the object of study. Through extensive collection, it analyzes the relevant Chinese and foreign literature files. This paper systematically discusses the interaction of Guangdong local officials with the British and French occupation committee in different occupation periods, the reaction of various social strata to the occupation of Guangzhou, the struggle between Guangzhou regiment and the allied forces of Britain and France, and the Guangzhou economy during this period. Culture and social life and so on, and try to explore the impact of this.
