【摘要】：在第二次鴉片戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)的中英《天津條約》談判過(guò)程中,李泰國(guó)的主要任務(wù)是作為英方的翻譯,但也曾經(jīng)單獨(dú)同中方官員進(jìn)行談判,并取得很大成果。由于李泰國(guó)在上海擔(dān)任稅務(wù)司之緣故,中方官員曾奢望其會(huì)幫助中國(guó)降低英方要求,但李泰國(guó)在談判過(guò)程中囂張跋扈,使中方官員的想法灰飛煙滅。即使如此,在上海稅則談判中,中方還是沒(méi)有放棄利用李泰國(guó),但事實(shí)證明,李泰國(guó)始終為英國(guó)利益服務(wù)�？梢哉f(shuō),李泰國(guó)是作為英國(guó)侵略者的一分子積極參與第二次鴉片戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)的,其各種活動(dòng)都是為英國(guó)利益服務(wù)的,而且這種侵略行徑是沒(méi)有任何遮掩的。
[Abstract]:During the second Opium War's negotiation of the Tianjin treaty, Li Taiguo's main task was to serve as an English translator, but he also negotiated with Chinese officials individually and achieved great results. As a result of Li Taiguo as head of the tax division in Shanghai, Chinese officials have the hope will help reduce the China requirements, but Li Taiguo in the process of negotiation so arrogant and despotic, Chinese officials the idea of ashes to ashes. Even so, in the Shanghai tax negotiations, China did not give up the use of Li Taiguo, but it proved that Li Taiguo was always serving the interests of the UK. It can be said that Li Taiguo served as a member of the British aggressors to take part in the second Opium War. All kinds of activities were served for the interests of the UK, and the act of aggression was not covered up.
