【摘要】：本文主要討論了底特律的衰落以及衰落給底特律的非裔美國人帶來哪些至關(guān)重要的影響。需要特別注意的是本篇論文中的底特律特指的是底特律市區(qū)，而非整個大底特律都會區(qū)。根據(jù)所掌握的數(shù)據(jù)和資料，本文首先從幾個方面分析了底特律的前世今生，主要包括底特律的開端、發(fā)展、衰落等方面對底特律有個全面的認識了解,并重點剖析了底特律衰落的工業(yè)原因和種族原因。其次，從非裔底特律人的角度出發(fā)，通過對底特律黑人的境遇在底特律衰落之前與衰落期間進行對比研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，呈現(xiàn)出的變化很明顯地反映了底特律的衰落對非裔底特律人帶來深刻的影響，總體的趨勢是隨著底特律的衰落,黑人境遇每況愈下。黑人的到來為底特律的繁榮做出了不可磨滅的貢獻，衰落后黑人在就業(yè)、住房和教育上面臨的隔離更加嚴重，隨之而來的是高失業(yè)率、高犯罪率、吸毒人數(shù)和艾滋病病毒攜帶者人數(shù)較多的問題，文章最后指出面臨困境，底特律市政府，密歇根州政府和聯(lián)邦政府曾經(jīng)努力重振底特律，但是由于對黑人的措施處理不當，使黑人處于更加悲慘的境地。之后作者又提出幾條改善底特律黑人境遇的幾項可行性建議，例如美化黑人社區(qū)，給黑人提供更多的就業(yè)機會，最重要的是要促進種族間的融合。文章運用了比較分析的研究方法，探討了底特律衰落與黑人生存狀況之間的關(guān)系問題。其次，從歷史角度的綜述的部分主要采用了文獻研究法，使文章中的事實陳述有理有據(jù)。
