【摘要】：日本明治時期,啟蒙思想家中村正直翻譯的英國斯邁爾斯所著《西國立志編》引起轟動,適應(yīng)各種人群的仿作隨之大量出現(xiàn)。其中數(shù)以百計的"婦人立志"讀物所傳寫的西方女杰事跡也大批輸入中國,為晚清女性提供了眾多取法典范。除了單行本的移譯,晚清女報"傳記"欄實為重要的集散地。其所匯聚的來源廣泛的文本,經(jīng)過譯者契合本土情境的再度闡釋與修正,不但與其他欄目相呼應(yīng),凸顯了各報的辦刊宗旨與現(xiàn)實思考,也在中國女界改造舊道德、培植新品格的精神重塑歷程中發(fā)生了深遠(yuǎn)影響。其間的關(guān)聯(lián),在晚清前后相繼的三份女報上有清晰的呈現(xiàn):1902年在上海出版的《(續(xù)出)女報》(《女學(xué)報》)雖尚未設(shè)置固定的傳記欄,但以轉(zhuǎn)載為主的各文,卻對不同面貌的"西方美人"表現(xiàn)出一律的仰慕;1904年由常熟學(xué)人創(chuàng)辦的《女子世界》采擇的原本最為繁復(fù),而經(jīng)過編輯的引導(dǎo),諸多西方女杰的品德均被歸納到慈愛一途,贊賞西國"愛種"于是成為該刊傳記譯介的主題;編印于東京的《中國新女界雜志》以留日學(xué)生為主要撰稿人,深受其時在日本盛行的國家主義思潮感染,所譯各傳對表彰歐美"女國民"顯示出高度的自覺與統(tǒng)一。至于眾多日文原作的發(fā)現(xiàn),不僅如實將中文作者還原為譯者,也提點出還原晚清歷史語境的一條進(jìn)路。
[Abstract]:During the Meiji period of Japan, Smiles, an upright translator of the enlightenment thinker Nakamura, caused a sensation in his book "the ambition of the Western Kingdom", and a large number of imitation works adapted to various groups of people appeared. Among them, hundreds of the "Women's determination" books spread the stories of Western female talents imported into China in large numbers, which provided many models for women in the late Qing Dynasty. In addition to the translation of the monograph, the column Biography of the Women's newspaper in the late Qing Dynasty is an important distribution center. The collected texts from a wide range of sources, through the translator's re-interpretation and revision of the local context, not only echo with other columns, but also highlight the purpose and practical thinking of the various newspapers, as well as reform the old morality in the Chinese women's realm. The spiritual remolding of cultivating new character has had a profound influence. The connection was clearly presented in the three successive women's newspapers before and after the late Qing Dynasty: although the women's newspaper (Journals of Women), published in Shanghai in 1902, had not yet set up a fixed biographical column, it was mainly reproduced. But show the same admiration to the "western beauty" with different appearance; The "Women's World", founded by the Changshu Scholars in 1904, was originally the most complicated, but under the guidance of the editors, the virtues of many western female talents were summed up in the way of love, and the appreciation of the "love species" of the Western countries became the theme of the biographical translation of the magazine. The Chinese New Women's Journal, published in Tokyo, was written mainly by students studying in Japan and was deeply influenced by the prevailing trend of nationalism in Japan at that time. The translations showed a high degree of consciousness and unity in commending "female Nationals" in Europe and the United States. As for the discovery of many original Japanese works, it not only truthfully restores Chinese writers to translators, but also points out a way to restore the historical context of the late Qing Dynasty.
