[Abstract]:American Jews made important contributions to the establishment of Israel. After the war, American Jews provided timely and powerful support and assistance to the Zionists politically, economically and militarily. Without the support of American Jews, it is uncertain whether Jews will be divided in Palestine, whether the state of Israel will be established according to the partition plan and whether the new state of Israel will survive the first Middle East War. The thesis is divided into three sections: the first section discusses the political and economic strength of American Jews, the purpose of which is to clarify the solid foundation of American Jews' support for the establishment of Israel. By the end of World War II, after nearly 300 years of struggle, American Jews had become the largest Jewish community in the world, with the greatest economic strength and political influence. By virtue of their own strength, American Jews can shoulder the responsibility of supporting Israel's statehood. The second section discusses the ideological basis of American Jews' support for the establishment of Israel. American Jews' attitude toward Zionism has evolved from opposition to support. The Zionist movement grew slowly in the United States at first because of the impact of the Holocaust during World War II. American Jews changed their attitude of opposition and indifference, abandoned sectarian disputes and supported the Zionist movement, reached a consensus on the Jewish goal of establishing a state in Palestine, and United to fight for the establishment of a Jewish state. At the same time, Jews have had the idea of charity since ancient times, thus laid the ideological foundation to support the establishment of Israel. The third section is the focus of this paper, from the political, economic and military aspects of the Jewish American contribution to the establishment of Israel. Politically, Jewish organizations in the United States launched a series of public movements to build public opinion for Jewish statehood, for which American Zionist leaders and some Jewish elites lobbied the United States government. At the same time, American Jews used their votes to exert pressure on President Truman, thereby turning American policy towards Zionism; economically, American Jews established Israel. It provided huge financial aid for Jews to defeat the attacks of Arab countries; militarily, American Jews provided Israel with a great deal of ordnance, which laid the foundation for Jews to win the first Middle East War.
