【摘要】：美國可以看作是一個(gè)以基督教新教為基石建立的國家,從美國建國開始,基督教就扮演著重要角色,作為在美國歷史中占有重要角色的廢奴運(yùn)動(dòng)也受到了基督教的影響。美國廢奴運(yùn)動(dòng)于十九世紀(jì)三十年代興起,當(dāng)時(shí)美國社會(huì)正在經(jīng)歷第二次宗教大覺醒運(yùn)動(dòng)。宗教復(fù)興的教義為廢奴主義者帶來了動(dòng)力與信念。他們以《圣經(jīng)》中的人人平等以及關(guān)于罪惡奴隸制的記載和描述作為精神支柱和思想基礎(chǔ),堅(jiān)持不懈地與萬惡的奴隸制做斗爭(zhēng)直至最后的勝利。這其中包括了白人,黑人神職人員與普通平民信徒。本文從基督教宗旨與廢奴主義之間的關(guān)系入手,考察了基督教宗旨中宣揚(yáng)眾生平等、罪惡的奴隸制等教義是如何與廢奴運(yùn)動(dòng)者的出發(fā)點(diǎn)吻合進(jìn)而給予他們持續(xù)斗爭(zhēng)的動(dòng)力;從而探討基督教與廢奴運(yùn)動(dòng)間的內(nèi)在關(guān)聯(lián)以及基督教對(duì)廢奴運(yùn)動(dòng)的推動(dòng)作用。
[Abstract]:The United States can be regarded as a country founded on Protestantism. Since the founding of the United States, Christianity has played an important role, and the abolitionist movement, which plays an important role in American history, has also been influenced by Christianity. The abolitionist movement began in the 1830 s, when American society was experiencing the second Great religious Awakening Movement. The doctrine of religious revival gave impetus and faith to abolitionists. Based on the biblical equality of all and the record and description of the evil of slavery, they persevered in the struggle against all evil slavery until their final victory. These include white, black clergy and ordinary civilian believers. Starting with the relationship between Christian tenet and abolitionism, this paper examines how the Christian tenet of advocating the equality of all living beings and the evil doctrine of slavery coincide with the starting point of the abolitionist movement and give them the motive force to continue their struggle. The relationship between Christianity and abolitionist movement and the role of Christianity in promoting abolitionist movement are discussed.
