【摘要】：1944年8月"桂柳會戰(zhàn)"期間,美國"飛虎隊"一架B-24型重型轟炸機(jī)在執(zhí)行戰(zhàn)斗任務(wù)過程中不幸墜毀于廣西興安縣貓兒山山崖。1996年10月這架飛機(jī)的殘骸被發(fā)現(xiàn),隨即中美兩國對此事多次開展了調(diào)查。這種調(diào)查,既是為了還原歷史真相,告慰英烈及其親屬,也是為了頌揚(yáng)世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭中的國際援助和愛國主義精神。20世紀(jì)末,在世界政治和經(jīng)濟(jì)格局發(fā)生很大改變的形勢下,這一工作對處于低潮的中美關(guān)系起了重要的調(diào)解作用。
[Abstract]:In August 1944, a B-24 heavy bomber of the "Flying Tigers" crashed into the Maoershan Cliff in Xingan County, Guangxi, in the course of a combat mission. The wreckage of the plane was found in October 1996. China and the United States immediately carried out investigations into this matter for a number of times. The purpose of this investigation is not only to restore the historical truth and comfort the martyrs and their relatives, but also to celebrate the spirit of international assistance and patriotism in the world's anti-fascist war at the end of the 20th century. Under the circumstances of great changes in world political and economic patterns, this work has played an important role in mediating the relations between China and the United States, which are at a low ebb.
