【摘要】：20世紀(jì)50年代是美國歷史上一個(gè)特殊的年代,二戰(zhàn)結(jié)束后的美國一躍成為世界第一大強(qiáng)國,其政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、軍事實(shí)力達(dá)到頂峰,但此時(shí)的美國國內(nèi)卻面臨著許多棘手的問題,六十年代興起的婦女運(yùn)動(dòng)、學(xué)生運(yùn)動(dòng)以及黑人民權(quán)運(yùn)動(dòng)在此時(shí)已初現(xiàn)倪端,其中尤以婦女問題最為突出。得益于二戰(zhàn)的刺激以及戰(zhàn)后美國經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展,傳統(tǒng)固守家庭的美國婦女越來越多走出家庭并參與到社會(huì)公共生活中去,但與婦女在美國社會(huì)中角色轉(zhuǎn)變不相符的是,美國社會(huì)仍是以傳統(tǒng)保守的婦女觀為指導(dǎo)來對(duì)待婦女,無論在家庭抑或是社會(huì)中,婦女都面臨著許多的不公與歧視,此時(shí)擺在美國婦女面前最為迫切的任務(wù)便是打破傳統(tǒng)保守婦女觀的束縛,重新構(gòu)建起新時(shí)代下的美國婦女形象。1961年,在勞工婦女以及肯尼迪總統(tǒng)的共同努力下,美國政府最終建立起一個(gè)專門研究美國婦女地位、改善美國婦女狀況的委員會(huì)。在肯尼迪總統(tǒng)婦女地位委員會(huì)存在不到三年的時(shí)間里,其為美國婦女地位的提高以及婦女在社會(huì)中狀況的改善做出了巨大貢獻(xiàn),意義重大,影響深遠(yuǎn)。
[Abstract]:The 1950s was a special time in the history of the United States. After the end of World War II, the United States became the largest power in the world. Its political, economic, and military strength reached its peak, but at that time the United States was faced with many thorny problems. The women's movement, the student movement and the black civil rights movement emerged in 1960's, especially the women's problem. Thanks to the stimulus of World War II and the economic development of the United States after the war, more and more American women who have traditionally adhered to their families have gone out of their homes and participated in public life, but this is not in line with the change in the role of women in American society. American society is still guided by the traditional conservative view of women. Both in the family and in the society, women face a lot of injustice and discrimination. The most pressing task facing American women at this time is to break the shackles of traditional conservative concepts of women and rebuild the image of American women in the new era. In 1961, with the joint efforts of working women and President Kennedy, The government eventually established a committee to study and improve the status of women in the United States. In the less than three years of existence of the President Kennedy Commission on the status of Women, it has made a great contribution to the advancement of women in the United States and to the improvement of the situation of women in society.
