【摘要】：正狄奧根尼斯·拉爾修在《名哲言行錄》卷1第33節(jié)講述哲學(xué)家泰勒斯的言行時曾引證了這樣一段話:"我為三件事感謝命運:第一,我是一個人而不是動物;第二,我是一個男人而不是女人;第三,我是一個希臘人而不是蠻族人(Hellen kai ou barbaros)。"他講道,有些人說這段話是蘇格拉底所言,而海爾米玻斯(Hermippos)在其《傳記集》(Bioi)中將之歸于泰勒斯。不過在這里誰說的并不重要,關(guān)鍵在于它用詞語勾勒了古代希臘人觀念中"自我"和"他者"的
[Abstract]:In verse 33 of volume 1 of the book of words and deeds of the famous Philosopher, Diogenes Larraud quoted the philosopher Thales's words and deeds as saying, "I thank fate for three things: first, I am a man, not an animal; and second, I am a man, not an animal, and second, I thank fate for three things: first, I am a man, not an animal." I am a man, not a woman; third, I am a Greek, not a barbarian, and I am a Hellen kai ou barbaroso. " Some people say this, he says, and Hermip poss attributes it to Thales in his Biography. But it doesn't matter here, the key is that it uses words to outline the "self" and the "other" of the ancient Greeks.
