【摘要】：淘金熱是澳大利亞近現(xiàn)代歷史發(fā)展中影響深遠的事件。近年來新興的澳洲環(huán)境史研究對淘金熱的傳統(tǒng)歷史評價提出了挑戰(zhàn),它通過揭示與強調(diào)淘金熱的負面環(huán)境影響,批判了淘金熱的現(xiàn)代化和進步意義。然而,討論淘金熱導致的環(huán)境變遷問題時不應矯枉過正。通過對淘金熱不同階段的環(huán)境變遷進行具體分析可以認為,它固然引發(fā)了對固有自然環(huán)境的嚴重破壞,卻也促成了新興生態(tài)環(huán)境體系的重組。值得學界反思的是,淘金熱環(huán)境史研究不能停留于批判澳大利亞現(xiàn)代化的宏大敘事,更應注意它是資本主義體系開拓資源邊疆的結果。
[Abstract]:The Gold Rush is a far-reaching event in Australia's modern history. In recent years, the emerging study of Australian environmental history has challenged the traditional historical evaluation of the Gold Rush. By revealing and emphasizing the negative environmental impact of the Gold Rush, it criticizes the modernization and progressive significance of the Gold Rush. However, the discussion of the environmental changes caused by the gold rush should not be overdone. Through the concrete analysis of the environmental changes in different stages of the Gold Rush, it can be concluded that although it has caused serious damage to the natural environment, it has also contributed to the reorganization of the emerging ecological environment system. What is worth reflecting is that the study on the history of the environment of the gold rush cannot remain in the grand narrative of criticizing the modernization of Australia, and should pay more attention to the fact that it is the result of the capitalist system exploiting the resources frontier.
