【摘要】：中世紀(jì)英國(guó)城市的起源、興起經(jīng)歷了一個(gè)漫長(zhǎng)的發(fā)展過(guò)程。英國(guó)歷史學(xué)家詹姆斯·泰特(James Tait)根據(jù)考古資料指出,英國(guó)最初的城鎮(zhèn)產(chǎn)生于盎格魯-撒克遜時(shí)期。本文通過(guò)對(duì)翻譯成現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)的英國(guó)中古文獻(xiàn)的研究發(fā)現(xiàn),早在公元7世紀(jì)以后,就出現(xiàn)了諸如要塞(ceaster)、貿(mào)易小鎮(zhèn)(wik、wic、wich)、堡(burh、borough)、市場(chǎng)(port)等多種形式的城鎮(zhèn),而這些城鎮(zhèn)的起源是國(guó)王與賢人會(huì)議、教會(huì)、商人、入侵者之間博弈的結(jié)果,即國(guó)王造就了城鎮(zhèn)。對(duì)英國(guó)中古文獻(xiàn)中有關(guān)盎格魯-撒克遜城鎮(zhèn)起源的研究結(jié)果,印證了英國(guó)考古學(xué)及泰特的觀點(diǎn),從而為英國(guó)城市興起的研究提供新的視角。
[Abstract]:The origin of medieval English cities experienced a long process of development.According to archaeological sources, the British historian James Taitt pointed out that the original towns in England were born during the Anglo-Saxon period.Through a study of the ancient British literature translated into modern English, it is found that since the 7th century AD, there have been many forms of towns, such as fortress, trade town, trade town, burhborough, and so on.The origin of these towns is the result of a game between kings and sages, churches, merchants, and invaders, that is, the king made the town.The research on the origin of Anglo-Saxon towns in the medieval English literature confirms the views of British archaeology and Tate, thus providing a new perspective for the study of the rise of British cities.
