【摘要】：正歷史敘述的戲劇性,不僅是時間意義上的轉折和突變,也表現在空間、結構上的對照與滲透。這種結構的、空間的戲劇意味,在美國史學家謝爾曼和索爾茲伯里合著的《西方文明史》(第二版)中,有相當的自覺。①在前言中,作者直接亮出了撰寫這部歷史教科書的五大目標以及達成方式。這其中,所設定的歷史敘述的戲劇性和趣味性目標,雖被作者視為對歷史文明的從古到今的演變,是藝術想象與科學事實的有機融合,但這樣一種歷時性呈現,就像一部傳統情節(jié)劇的發(fā)生與展開、高潮與落幕那樣理所當然,不覺新鮮。倒是作者舉出的其他敘述目標,比如西方文明和世界文明的復雜關系、社會學的綜合視野、城市化進程的歷史聚焦、個人的日常生活
[Abstract]:The drama of positive historical narration is not only the turning point and mutation in time, but also the contrast and penetration of space and structure.This structural, spatial drama, in American historians Sherman and Salisbury's A History of Western Civilization (second Edition), has considerable awareness in the preface,The author shows the five goals of writing this history textbook and the way to achieve it.Among them, the dramatic and interesting goal of the historical narration set up, although the author regards the evolution of historical civilization from ancient to present, is an organic fusion of artistic imagination and scientific facts, but such a diachronic presentation.Like the occurrence and development of a traditional drama, climax and ending as a matter of course, not new.It is the other narrative goals that the author has identified, such as the complex relationship between Western and world civilizations, the comprehensive view of sociology, the historical focus of the urbanization process, and the daily lives of individuals.
