【摘要】：從20世紀(jì)30年代中后期開始,圍繞中太平洋的二十多個(gè)島礁,美、英兩國(guó)曾發(fā)生過較為激烈的領(lǐng)土主權(quán)爭(zhēng)端。美國(guó)從這場(chǎng)較量中脫穎而出。它充分利用自身優(yōu)勢(shì)和國(guó)際形勢(shì),牢固地把握了主動(dòng)權(quán),在堅(jiān)決維護(hù)自身在夏威夷的壟斷地位的基礎(chǔ)上,又借機(jī)進(jìn)入原為英國(guó)勢(shì)力范圍的大洋洲腹地,掌握了跨太平洋空中航線,加強(qiáng)了與澳大利亞和新西蘭的聯(lián)系,牢固確立了自己在太平洋事務(wù)中的主導(dǎo)地位。而深處內(nèi)外困境的英國(guó)則節(jié)節(jié)敗退,不斷失去自己在太平洋的關(guān)鍵據(jù)點(diǎn),甚至無法保護(hù)原本屬于自己的海外屬地。這場(chǎng)美英之爭(zhēng)本質(zhì)上是新技術(shù)條件下美、英對(duì)太平洋地區(qū)秩序的重構(gòu)。它既反映了太平洋霸權(quán)的轉(zhuǎn)移,其結(jié)果也加速了霸權(quán)轉(zhuǎn)移的過程,宣告了美國(guó)主導(dǎo)下的"太平洋世紀(jì)"的到來。
[Abstract]:Since the middle and late 1930s, more than 20 islands and reefs in the Central Pacific Ocean, the United States and Britain have had more intense disputes over territorial sovereignty. The United States has stood out from this contest. It makes full use of its advantages and the international situation. Firmly grasping the initiative, firmly maintaining its monopoly in Hawaii, and taking the opportunity to enter the hinterland of Oceania, which was originally a British sphere of influence, and to master the trans-Pacific air route, Strengthened ties with Australia and New Zealand, firmly established their dominant position in Pacific affairs, while Britain, deep inside and outside, was losing ground and losing its key stronghold in the Pacific. This dispute between the United States and Britain is essentially a reconstruction of the order of the Pacific region under the new technological conditions. It reflects the transfer of hegemony in the Pacific. The result also speeded up the process of hegemony transfer and announced the arrival of the Pacific Century under the leadership of the United States.
