【摘要】：作為一個(gè)主要由移民及其后裔組成的國(guó)家,同化是普遍存在于美國(guó)歷史上的一種社會(huì)現(xiàn)象。本文選取中國(guó)移民在美國(guó)的經(jīng)歷作為案例,對(duì)華裔在美國(guó)的同化過(guò)程進(jìn)行了梳理和分析。 通過(guò)對(duì)華裔在美整個(gè)歷史的分析可以發(fā)現(xiàn),從19世紀(jì)40年代到20世紀(jì)40年代的100年之中,由于美國(guó)社會(huì)普遍存在的對(duì)華裔的歧視和偏見(jiàn),華裔融入美國(guó)社會(huì)的進(jìn)程相當(dāng)緩慢。20世紀(jì)40年代以后,隨著美國(guó)社會(huì)內(nèi)外環(huán)境的變化,華裔融入美國(guó)社會(huì)的速度明顯加快,在人口構(gòu)成,家庭生活,人口分布,族際通婚,教育水平和職業(yè)狀況以及參與社會(huì)和政治事務(wù)等方面均取得很大的進(jìn)步。與此同時(shí),在新的歷史條件之下又出現(xiàn)了一些嶄新的問(wèn)題,具體表現(xiàn)為美國(guó)社會(huì)對(duì)華裔的一些新成見(jiàn)以及起伏的中美關(guān)系對(duì)在美華人的負(fù)面影響。 縱觀華裔在美歷史,不難發(fā)現(xiàn)歧視與偏見(jiàn)始終是華裔在融入美國(guó)社會(huì)過(guò)程中遇到的最大障礙。因此不管未來(lái)美國(guó)社會(huì)如何發(fā)展,要保證整個(gè)社會(huì)的共同利益,各族裔的關(guān)系就必須建立在平等、多元、團(tuán)結(jié)等基本原則的基礎(chǔ)之上。
[Abstract]:As a country composed mainly of immigrants and their descendants, assimilation is a common social phenomenon in the history of the United States. This paper selects the experience of Chinese immigrants in the United States as a case study. This paper analyzes the assimilation process of Chinese in the United States. An analysis of the entire history of Chinese in the United States shows that during the 100 years from 1840s to 1940s, because of the widespread discrimination and prejudice against Chinese Americans in American society, The process of Chinese integration into American society is quite slow. After 40s, with the change of the internal and external environment of American society, the integration of Chinese into American society has been accelerated obviously, in terms of population composition, family life, population distribution, and intermarriage. Great progress has been made in terms of educational level and professional status, as well as participation in social and political affairs. At the same time, new problems have emerged under the new historical conditions, It is embodied in the new stereotypes of Chinese Americans in American society and the negative influence of the relationship between China and the United States on the Chinese in the United States. Looking at the history of Chinese Americans in the United States, it is not difficult to find that discrimination and prejudice have always been the biggest obstacle to their integration into American society. Therefore, no matter how American society develops in the future, it is necessary to ensure the common interests of the entire society. Ethnic relations must be based on the fundamental principles of equality, pluralism and solidarity.
