大學(xué)如何改變寒門學(xué)子命運(yùn):家庭貧困、非認(rèn)知能力和初職收入

【摘要】:社會(huì)分層和流動(dòng)研究發(fā)現(xiàn),在接受過大學(xué)教育的人中,社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)地位的代際相關(guān)性降低,甚至是消失了。這一發(fā)現(xiàn)被看做大學(xué)教育促進(jìn)社會(huì)流動(dòng)的有力證據(jù),但其作用機(jī)制往往被簡單地歸因于學(xué)生的高度選擇性或者勞動(dòng)力市場中大學(xué)文憑的符號(hào)效應(yīng),大學(xué)教育過程本身對(duì)學(xué)生人力資本提高的作用卻被忽略了。本文利用一個(gè)對(duì)大學(xué)生群體為期五年的追蹤調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù),試圖證明大學(xué)教育自身對(duì)家庭背景影響的削弱作用,來自于為不同社會(huì)階層出身的學(xué)生提供一個(gè)公平開放的學(xué)習(xí)鍛煉環(huán)境,幫助他們,特別是那些來自弱勢(shì)家庭的學(xué)生,提高自身的非認(rèn)知能力,以應(yīng)對(duì)畢業(yè)后的工作。
[Abstract]:Studies on social stratification and mobility have found that the intergenerational correlation of social and economic status decreases or even disappears among those who have received a college education. This finding is seen as strong evidence that college education promotes social mobility, but its mechanisms are often simply attributed to the high selectivity of students or the symbolic effect of college diplomas in the labour market. However, the effect of university education itself on the improvement of students' human capital has been neglected. This paper attempts to prove the weakening effect of college education itself on family background by using a five-year tracking survey of college students. It comes from providing a fair and open learning environment for students from different social classes, helping them, especially those from disadvantaged families, to improve their non-cognitive ability to cope with post-graduation jobs.
